Resolution from Nissan finally on 06 oil prob.

update


ALLLLLLLLLL right so, I just got back from Victory Nissan in Chantilly
and after letting them keep my car for a few days they confirmed that
the oil level has dropped a nice chunk, first 1000 miles was only 3mm below "H" which is hardly worth worrying about but I kept my eye on it and
sure enuff them keeping the car for a few days only proves the stupid variences that can occur from letting the car sit a while then running it.
My car is now showing 10mm below "H" after running it for a little while and then letting it sit for the Nissan recommended 30 min. As of now my car is right on the border line to get the engine replaced. In about 2,000 miles the oil level has dropped a total of 13mm and with another 1,000 to go it will more then qualify to get the engine replaced..............*sigh*

Time to contact the BBB and try to begin an arbitration process to have Nissan by back my POS.

Depends on the dealer, Victory Nissan always gives me a service loaner.
They already informed me that if replacing the engine is necessary that they will provide me with a service loaner for the period of time.

Yeah I unfortunately I tried to trade mine in and would of lost my shizzil if I decided to trade. Car max offered me a whopping 22K for my G. That isnt close to what I owe on it. Because I bought my car used..under 13K miles, I didnt qualify for the buy back, then again I didnt have a lawyer.

I called the BBB and NNA got off their azz and ensured that I had a handbuilt motor from Japan, and not the mass production New Mexico made engines.

So I basically forced to keep my engine. Thank God it doesnt burn any oil now. Which is good because now that I know its mine forever, I beat on it like the GIANTS beat on the Bardy..ohh I mean the PATS..lol!

I just opened up a case with BBB yesterday and have had an on going case with NNA. I purchased my car "new" so I hope this POS can qualify for buy back. I am sure the rat bastages will do something, if not then I will have to take other actions. It's pretty sad the car has problems considering it was spanking new and was broken in properly. *bleh!

Ok, I called Consumer Affairs today. I explained what happened throughout the oil consumption test, and the lady that I spoke with even said that 25% oil consumption every 1000 miles was excessive. She has passed on my information to some technicians there, and they are supposed to call me back within the next 24 hours, with their findings. So, hopefully something more can be done, since my local dealership said that 25% loss every 1000 miles is acceptable and I don't have any oil consumption issues.

Not gonna hold my breath though...

So u spoke to NNA consumer affairs? The oil consumption test should go through the entire 3000 mile suggested oil life span, my 1st oil test at Victory Nissan only showed 3mm low, then the second one showed 10mm........it will only get worse as the oil breaks down. I would continue with the process otherwise they may just tell you that your car is "fine".

The regional specialist will contact the dealer and speak with the Service Manager, I suggest
speaking with him or her and see what the lowdown is,.

Yeah, I talked to them. Not sure in milimeters, how much I lost, but it's been documented, that it was 25% low, every 1000 miles, for the entire 3750 oil change interval. First test (at 1000 miles) showed 25% low, 2nd test (at 2000 miles) showed 25% low, 3rd test (at 3000 miles) showed 25% low, 4th test (at 3750 miles) showed 0% low. They topped it off, each time, before giving it back to me.

I called Consumer Affairs again, because I didn't hear back from the rep that I spoke with the other day. She was supposed to have someone from their tech-line call me back.

They will have you going around in circles bro, I would advise that they measure the oil levels and tell you how many MM low it is. Have them document it and keep it for your records, I just got my info from Better Business Bureau Auto Line. I am essentially going to try and have arbitration started soon to get Nissan to buy back my lovely pile of junk. Keep those records and document everything if possible, it will come in handy trust me

Ok, so I called NNA Consumer Affairs again, because the Regional Specialist didn't call me back. They said that I'd get a call back by COB today, or Monday, at the latest.

Screw that! I'm tired of waiting. I've been trying for a week, to get some answers. I'm calling the BBB.

Call them back...its your car not theirs. Its totally unfair, but they are losing millions on this, so they are not EAGER to call us back.

My motor swap bill was almost 17K that the dealer charged the Manufacturer.
7K motor..10K labor..ruffly...DOH!

Thats exactly what they want you to do...there are lawyers that dont take money unless you get paid. Try that route.

Engine Break in Method...499 miles I kept it under 4K RPMs....@ 500 miles I started beating on it out of frustration and havent stopped since. I have not burned a drop of oil since. Still sick about everything...I almost paid 40K for this boat anchor~!

NOTE: I was running Mobile on 10/30 Full Syn when I consumed 4.5 quartes in 1500 miles after an oil change. My engine actually threw a rod.

FYI they used the same spark plugs and belts on my new engine!

Ok, so the Regional Specialist finally called me back. Said my file was never transferred to him, so he was unaware of what was going on.

He said he talked to the dealership, and the dealership told him that my car passed the oil consumption test.

He wants a callback to see what else we can do to resolve this issue.

Finally, after talking to talking to 4 people at NNA, and filing a complaint with the BBB, I get a call from the Regional Specialist.

Let's see where this goes, shall we?

Unfortunately if the dealer reports to Nissan that there is no problem you will have one hell of a tough time It's pretty retarded but they take the dealers findings over yours anyday. Try another dealer, at next oil change have them document the oil level, and speak with the service manager before all of that goes down. I initially was taking my car to Sheehy Nissan of Manassas and they are nothing more then idiots "oh your car is fine" riiiiiiiiiiiiight. I now have valid evidence that the car is consuming oil all thanks to Victory Nissan. I can not stress how important it is that you get with the Service Manager and explain to him what the deal is, and again when they measure your oil make sure they document it in MM not %, if they are gauging by % then they are RETARDS! GL man
