put this in the suspension section..but would like some feedback from the are...quick question
my car is lowered..1.1'' all around. When i get my car aligned occasionally...my camber in the front is -2.2 average(alittle over OEM..but the less i can get it to be) and -2.8(rear)
long story short...i hit a curb..direct tire on curb i should say since there was no body damage and my car is lower than the curb.
When i got my car back from insurance..they replaced the lower, upper, knuckle, hub bearing i think, etc..my camber is now at -.6 on the front left and still -2.2 on the front right.. and my spring and shocks still intact so i know they did not change them.
is there anything i can do about this? or what do you think is going on here.

A camber kit would work but my question to that is: If the equasion is still the same (shocks, spring, joints ect) and you had your camber @ -2.2 and -2.8 before the meeting with the curb :0! and everything was fixed with OEM parts, why cant you acheive the same camber? R U SURE NOTHING IS BENT?
Or maybe frame damage? ... what you need to do is have someone drive behind you while you do 40 on a flat stright road and see if they can look stright down the center of your car evenly. It takes a trained eye but normally when your car has frame damage it tends to "crab walk" down the road.

I assume where the camber is -.6 is where you hit the curb and parts were replaced? There is no factory camber adjustment in the front suspension of the Z, so something is definetely up. Seems as though maybe you may have bent something that wasnt replaced-maybe a control arm. Take it back to that shop-the work and result is unacceptable or go to a better shop.

i would not take it to a stealership...something is still deffinetly tweaked up from, most likely frame damage of some sort...if a camber kit will get you within the specs you want cool but i would still take it to a reputable bodyshop. Dont cheap out and go to some guys garage, frame damage is not a joke and what looks to be "fixed" now will cost you big later...chewing up tires, car not staying on course,vibations..all very bad...if your around baltimore check out Cliffs hi-tech on stemmers run rd.
i work there in the paint shop and our bodymen are pros...tell them dale sent you...we have had multiple Z's in our shop and our guys are no strangers to them
