Lollerskates...... what the hell happened in this thread yesterday..... some very stupid points were made, especially about not racing your "own" car WTF haha,
guess anyone that participates in a skip barber school etc isn't actually racing..
as for the 29'ers I was hesitant about getting one at first as my previous bike was a 26'er(years ago when I was acutally in shape lol), but I have been pretty happy with it, especially given the type of riding I do

not too sure about food out that way, you have a Dogfish head right near you which is pretty nice(for drinks anyway), there are lots of places in the surrounding Rockville area though, pretty quick drive over
Lets break down the logistics of Owning + Racing:
1. Owning: you paid off a vehicle and your name is on the title. Otherwise, your car belongs to the bank.
2. Racing: getting behind the wheel of a vehicle and participating in a competitive event.
Once we lay out the facts, it's easy to conclude that one does not need to "own" in order to race. (Ex. Lucas Black raced DK in Tokyo Drift even though he didn't own the Mona Lisa.)
"Owning a car" requires only money (unless it was a gift.)
"Racing a car" requires Skill. (or lack there of) It doesn't matter who's car you race, ask a racer, ask any racer. Racing is racing.
A few examples of people who don't own their car and still race it:
1. people who lease a vehicle
2. people who haven't paid off their vehicle
3. people who drive other people's cars
4. people who drive "team" sponsored cars
None of the above makes a person "less manly" than a person who dropped money to "own" their car. Whether you're racing your car or racing someone else's car. Racing is racing.

^ LOL... I was just thinking that if a man has to race his own car to be considered racing, all the professional drivers (F1, Nascar, you name it) would need to come up with a new word for their profession.
I have been thinking about getting a mountain bike but not sure what to get (never rode a bike on a trail)..i'd probably not want to spend more than $1000 i dont care if its used or new.
I recently put together a road bike and have been using that to help get in shape, so far the farthest I've gone is 50 miles round trip. Going to aim for a 60 miler next month:
its a scott addict r3 frame with sram red/force groupset

I dont do enough serious riding to justify the Dogma..... Wish I did. In my younger days I did the riding to justify it but had no money. Now I have money but too much other BS going on to do all the riding.
The FP2 is good enough for me. Growing up sucks.
