Honestly, the only reason I haven't already upgraded to an HR Z is cause GEICO wants close to 500 a month to insure one.

The closer you live to Baltimore, the higher you'll pay...
I pay close to 4000 a year for my Z and the beater.

Insurance rates are also based off of credit score and driving record.

Location does a play a roll, not nearly as much as driving record and credit.

There's always the option to pay off the car and drop coverage to basic coverage. No matter where you live, liability coverage tends to be pretty common price wise across the board.

I'd be interested to hear JGrizz's take on this one since he lives close by as well.

<<<pays $156 a month for Z and beater

Its true, different areas have different rates.

I might pay $80/mo here for full coverage on a 350Z where in PG county or Baltimore it could be $100-110 % wise that's a pretty big jump, however to get to the $500/mo range, yeah that's with other factors...............

Shin I pay about $300 a month for full coverage on my Z and STi and Liability on my RS. Shin your getting fawked, learn some constraint and some responsibility. Then you might be able to get 1/2 way decent rates. The miles on my STi and RS are 15k a year and 5k for the Z.

Agreed. My rates were certainly higher when I was younger and lived in PGCounty, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone paying $500 for insurance unless you were a teenager with a terrible record.
