Well, last night was fun.

Couple of my buddies got their cars out and we went had some fun on the highway. I have an 01 Z06 with a cold air intake and exhaust (350 rwhp). My buddies 03 Cobra has a K&N airfilter (380 rwhp), and the 350Z was stock (234 rwhp). We Thought since it was descent out, we would have some fun, and see where the cars stand.

We lined up on the highway from a 70 punch and gunned it. Believe it or not, the 350Z hung for about a second or so, then the Z06 and the Cobra left it. The Z06 comes out on top by about 2 cars when we shut down at about 120.

Next, we decided to do some drag racing. Now, just would like to let you guys know that the guy in the 350Z is an AWESOME driver. I am willing to bet he can pull a 13.7-.8 on the track. Anyways,we go to a little alley and all line up, we go on my 3rd signal. when we took off, i lost to the 350Z and the 03 Cobra of the line. But the story changed not even by the end of 1st gear. I bogged the car really bad. By 60 mph, i was ahead, with the 350Z driver only a car behind the 03 Cobra. By 80 the gap started to spread and by 110 when we shut down i had about 2 cars on the Cobra, while the Cobra had about 5 cars on the 350Z.

Now, we all know the 350Z doesnt match up well against these 2 powerhouses. But, we all love cars and nobody cares about winning. We just wanted to have a good time with our cars. The 350Z looks awesome and the Cobra is steal for 35K. And the Z06, well, its just the monster.

sounds pretty cool, btw, what does bogged mean? ive heard that a few times and wondering what it means...

 

to "bog" the car- When one lets out of the clutch too much and doesnt give enough gas, causing the car to bog and almost stall.

 

well when mine bogs all i'm talking about is the RPMS drop low enuff that the car isn't in the powerband and feels really slow....bogging doesn't mean stalling the car...it just feels like it has no power.
