I have an A5T so I can't help you much but I would drive around any water and launch at 2500rpm's.
I don't have VDC either but I would turn it off.
I do have TC though and it turns off with the touch of a button. You want that off too!
Hope this helps!

I think VDC overides TC I don't see why you would need both but in my Touring there is a blank spot where VDC was supposed to be right next to TC. I laways thought VDC was an option and TC was standard.
I'm using the VDC spot for a N20 switch. Not sure why it would even be there if both were an option.
Are you sure you have TC?
I guess someone else will have to chime in and help.

WEll,.one night...I never really had a chance to Launch my z--as you see I have 19's and Toyo's(6mt)but using what I heard(Drop @ 3k)---MAN IT worked awesome--I mean no wheel spin @ all(maybe a tiny little squeak)?--I was GONE!!!!Didn't even bog--my friends said I was GONE!didn't even catch 2nd barley either--normally thats simple!
That was the Best 1st ever lauch in a RWD car I've ever done!
I would be willing to try from a lauch w/ the Big daddy's(meaning "Lauch king's if done right)--like my Friend;s EVO's(as long as they all go that smoothly)
EVO is sick though---don't drive one--you'll want it!

practice makes perfect they say, just remember that launching at the track is always harder than launching on the street.
If I could launch at the track like I launch on the street I would already have a 1.7 60 foot! LOL.
Good Luck and keep us posted!
