Orange 350Z vs. VR-4
#101
Well, I'm really enjoying this thread. I have a brand new Z, but the 3kgt is still on plans for the future. I just love that car. Pearl Demon, don't wreck it up, please. You have a beautiful steed and you don't have to hassle with guys who can' take a beating like a man. I know my car is fast, but that doesn't mean its unbeatable.

WOW, only 4 car lengths from 50-110. I think the 350 had work done, not you. Over 100 more hp on your car against the 350.....I put like 2 car lengths on a 350 from about the same mph and I only had a downpipe. Wait, before I bash any furthur, let me find a 3000gt to race before i can comment on how slow there are.
Any so cal 3000gts wanna see how fast a WRX(now stock downpipe) is.......

Now THAT's a ****in' TROLL.
That's real smart, ask for 3000GT's on a 350z site... why don't you post a challenge on 3si.org and get your *** handed to you. AWD won't help you there.

Why are you here talking ****? You realize the VR4 is AWD as well? I hope your not serious to think that a Stock WRX with a downpipe is a threat to anyone. Look at your pathetic Trap speeds. The only reason you have any chance in the 1/4 is AWD launching..from a roll.. bwahaha.. Forget it. What a waste of time.

Briguymax- thats correct. It was infact a track edition. The DP takes out 2 cats if u didnt know, and makes a huge difference.
Pearl Demon-thats for the info, didnt know the 3000gts forum was 3si.org. And, im not a troll thanks.
Why does everyone think 350Z are "god." I test drove one, they are tight, i will admint that.
Thanks for you comments S8ER95Z. NO way, the VR4 is all wheel drive??????? I didnt know that.......gimmie a break.

Or a unichip or chip of some sort. I too really can't see a WRX with just a downpipe do the stuff you mention. I'm not saying our cars are awesome and no one can be it. I'm just being a realist and maybe you should do the same.

He pretty much had a boost controller and a downpipe at the time. Its all about the launch...and yes that was on street tires.

Interesting... I've talked to a group of WRX owners before and they told me what was need for 12's was Stage 4 whie was an upgraded turbo and IC. He said that usually the max trap on stock turbos is 105.

May I ask where you saw WRX's running 12sec times at trap speeds of 102mph?
TurboXS's stage 2 package is good for low 13's at a trap of about 102mph. That consists of the downpipe, catback, unichip/utec, and an increase in boost.
Their stage 4 package is good for mid to high 12's at trap speeds of around 108mph.
It would be unwise to think that there are not faster setups out there though, since the VF30 turbo used in the Stage 4 package is not exactly a 'big' turbo by WRX standards. It is simply an oem turbo used in other markets...

That time is totally believable. I am not sure why I thought that we were referring to LOW 12 times at 102 traps
