Default 350Z vs GS-T

Was driving on Ox Road in Fairfax, and for about 5 miles a guy in a GS-T was beside me, his blow off valve whistling and chirping. We were stuck behind people so this display of "power" continued until the lanes were clear for the showdown. The car in my lane turned off, and I sped up so the Eclipse could get around him and beside me. We evened up and then went at it. I went from 4th to 3rd and jumped on him to where his front bumper was at my door.. his BOV chirped and he started to even out with me, by which time I shifted to 4th and regained the advantage. From there my Z began pulling away even when he shifted again; I was a car and a half when I shut down b/c of traffic.

It was exciting because it was my first real challenge and I didn't choke, as I am apt to do because of my newbie-ness. Also, I used to have a 3rd Gen. Eclipse GS, and the 2nd Gen. GS-T was one car I avoided...

Was the eclipse stock exterior? It was most likely my friend who owns it with BOV and was talking about a Z race he had and how it BEARLY beat him..so he says...

Hey guys, you planning to see 2Fast2Furious? Check General. I'm trying to get a Z group going.

yeah, its true a bunch of dsm owners think their car is the greatest thing ever made, but dont let the few hot heads fool you. with something simple as a turbo upgrade (say big t28) you can push 230 hp to the wheels. but then again, that is with a stock fuel system and management. throw in your normal intake/exhaust mods with new fuel pump, injectors, a s-afc, and a simple manual boost controller, and youve easily got 350 or so hp at the wheels, give or take a bit.

haha. Theres a million korean guys with GSTs in NoVa. Man, korean parents are so nice. If they can afford it, 99.99% of them would buy their kids nice cars.

The GS-T was red, and wasn't modified on the exterior from what I could tell, but it had exhaust with the BOV... and the guy driving was Asian, so it fits the descriptions you have laid out..
It was a close matchup, wish we could have been on an open highway to see how it would have panned out.

The BOV was obviously aftermarket.. it was all I could hear from the car.
