Gingerman 8/15/03: SpeedTrial Event (warning dial-up)
Good afternoon,
Well, Jewelz350, Enthuz, and myself all met up at Gingerman Raceway yesterday for a SpeedTrial event. Before I get to the pics and other information, I must say how professional the SpeedTrials team was. They ran the event perfectly. The instructors were amazing and the track staff was excellent. In addition, the track itself was a perfect place. Great facilities, plenty of run off room, and a nice atmosphere. Now, on to the pics:

Splat city! Each of us had washed our cars before the race. Afterwards, you could see bugs smashed all over the place. Jewelz350 even caught a Monarch butterfly on her wiper. She is still upset over it:

Jewelz350 did bring a stop watch (shhh, don't tell the insurance companies). With her rather informal timing, she came up with some good times for all of us. Jewelz350 ran a 1' 45", Enthuz ran a 1' 45", and I ran a 1' 47". Hey, I am just a begginner! At any rate, those are some respectable times. My instructor had been running the course for 5 years in his 911 and managed his best time of 1' 43" when we were there. So, we did pretty good.

GREAT PICTURES!
I was also impressed with how well the event was run. Nice people who were all having fun too! My requested instructor, Bill, was great. He couldn't believe I gave him my Z's key to "Show Me THE Way" around that tricky track! Not sure he felt the same riding shotgun!
You didn't mention, I let the Miata by...........
Now, for a close up of Joyia's murderous ways......

Julian, you should be fine. Just remember to take your center caps off. Also, watch out for turn 5 and 6. They seem like one turn with decreasing radius, but you should treat them as two separate turns. It is much faster that way. Good luck, you should have fun.

Hudson (j/k) forgot to mention that EnthuZ seemed to think we were on a farm. He took his tractor on 3 different agricultural excursions!!! LOL.
We had a great time and liked meeting you guys!

Joyia, I've already sent Brian a bill for my landscaping services!
Thats what I get for asking for an instructor at the lunch time drivers meeting! Bill was cool about it.
I also had a GREAT time sharing our Z experiences, along with the Hot lapping! Too bad we never got to do any lapping together.
When leaving the track, I let you guys & Gal, pull away, so I could jot down a few #'s.

Yea, I was amazed how much gas I burned also. I think I went through 2/3 of a tank. But it certainly was worth it!
As for the agricultural outings, it was funny that it only happend after the instructor was in the car.
