I spend a lot of time in Fresno so i almost know what you guys mean. Even late at night the temps are still in the 90s and 100s in the summer. Only reason i keep that hose is for my car to get going faster and the look doesn't bother me. Are there any performance merit to deleting it? It's understood that high oil temp is detrimental for performance but for the oil to reach those levels due to the coolant heating it up would mean something is seriously wrong with your coolant system. The idea of removing the TB one has some conceptual merit for performance and that is why I removed mine.
My previous radiator leaked a few years ago and in the process I decided to get a mishimoto one, though the name doesn't inspire quality and performance, it has ran very well for me. I also have their fan shroud which also works very well. The pair combined was cheaper then the 36mm koyo rad so it was worth a gamble. I'm glad with my decision and I have yet to see high temperatures or problems with the two. HTH

I'll most likely leave it. It's 88 at 5:30am in my backyard so too cool is a concept I know little of. I lived in Clovis in the late 90s and wish it were that cool here lol.
I have the Mishimoto radiator and Forged shroud. They both look fine and the radiator has a "lifetime" warranty. Someday I hope to use them.
Thanks for the input on the oil hose and lead on the heads, I responded to your pm.

It's part of the fun. The build is back on, the motor is at the only place that actually accomplished anything so far so I am happy.
I did forget a story.
I had never been there since shops 1 & 2 dealt with transporting it.
I go to the address, sign in front says S&S. I go in. Older man sitting behind counter talking to a man on the outside of the counter, says I'll be with you shortly. The other man says I'm in no hurry, go ahead.
I say I am here to drop off the motor. He says you'll have to be more specific. I say VQ35DE we have been talking on the phone, you have done work on it for several shops. He says with an attitude those must have been bad shops. I (getting irritated) say I am looking for (owners name) he says you needed to do better research, they are in back.
WTF????????????
I go out see a sign that says S&S Machine shop with an arrow pointing down the driveway.
The sign above the business in front says S&S. Not mechanic not machine so I submit it is a mistake he gets alot and I am sure it is irritating but no way to treat potential customers or customers of a neighbor. I need this engine installed, no way I'd think of using him.
I told the machine shop owner he was sorry and yelled don't be an a*s to my customers! lol

I will probably go get a Mizu radiator, shroud and radiator hoses from ebay, haha, I like th over sized ends, and MAN it is cheap! and at the end of the day, as long as it fits right, all it is, is a piece of finned metal! and there are reviews on this site for it, so that is good enough for me!
