I ported the lower manifold a long time ago and did a light port on the lower plenum. Yesterday I ported the lower plenum alot more and port the upper plenum at the tb and at the end of the neck and took out some more casting marks and used a polishing brush to smooth it all out on my dremel. I haven't taken it out for a drive yet, just fired it up to make sure it all still works. My friend was sitting in the car while I was making sure it wasn't leaking and he began revving it and it stalled, lol he freaked out and I told him I am used to it...

I think it did, I want to point out that I made power to 6500 with bolt ons. And after looking at ALOT of people's NA dynos, I am very happy to see I made power to 7k with more left in it. I think the porting really makes a difference. I wish that I had welding and machining skills and tools to make my own manifold... I could remove so many bottle necks so much easier... Also, I wish there was a bigger TB we could use and keep cruise control and all that stuff, I am betting that is what is holding alot of us back anymore.

HOLY CRAP!!! That is my exact problem! wow, makes me want to go out and make this right now! I wish I would have done this when I have my manifold out, lol

If this works, I will have soooo much love for you, lol

On a side note, after driving it with the new work done, it drives alot better, feels smoother, hard to tell faster in 100+ degree heat lol

It worked for me (prior to tuning), but if your tuner puts in the time I think he should be able to tune it out himself or get very close to where its not needed. But if it still happens after the re-work give it a try.

I just stumbled onto this thread. Nice work. Sorry you are having issues. I am 9 months into my build and the motor is in pieces in my office waiting to go to the machine shop to be assembled.

Assemble it yourself, that is what I did, not hard at all. I hate looking at your thread when it looks like you have everything to do it, but you haven't put it together... It took me 2 days with 2 friends to assemble the motor, install it in the car, and have it ready to run.

that will solve a problem where you get off the throttle and the car goes to idle and it goes too far and stalls

I'll buy the parts, thanks.

I started to assemble it and stopped (after buying the 96.5mm ring compressor)

I am not comfortable assembling it. I'd really feel bad if I had 5digits in parts that I ruined by bad assembly.
