And I don't suppose you have a graph you can post of the drop off after 6500, do you?

I was actually thinking about bringin my stock intake, which has the revup airbox and a k&n filter....but didnt. Guess I can pick up a ztube and ditch this intake.
And no mgrotel, sorry....the pulls were let off at 6400 cuz thats where the powerband started to flatten and drop. Next time around ill have ben run it to 7k so we can see what exactly it does after 6400 for sure.

When I buy my LTs I think im also gonna ditch the popcharger. Try and find samco hose and rev up box with k&n drop in.

Cool, will be interesting to see how fast it drops off, maybe it won't be a sharp negative slope

That would be nice, will also be interesting to see how the modified lower plen affects peak and where peak is, your build has me really excited

yeah, we shall see but either way...it will go on soon. and as far as my intake change, i'll go with a stillen ztube or the samco tube with either the stock revup airbox and k&n or a stillen airbox. those 2 seemed to be the best intake setups for our cars based on sexyrob's dyno comparisons. im sure i will pick up a couple hp with the changes, but i doubt it will stretch the power band any further out RPM wise.

oh yeah, ben did mention that their track car picked up an additional 8hp when he added the stillen intake on.....cant recall what intake it had prior, stock?

What's the advantage the stock revup box has over the non rev box? I was just gonna do a k&n drop in and leave the non rev box in, I have a stillen ztube too

other than the fact the revup has a bigger velocity stack ring.....idk lol not sure if it does anything more or less. cant remember if anyone posted up dyno differences between the 2. but i have one.

Nice numbers and good choice of intake. I've always had good results with my stock airbox. I recently switched to a revup airbox myself and installed a titek air duct. Hopefully I can drop a few tenths in the fall.

pretty much just shaving the ports down with some reshaping, smoothing everything out, and port matching the flanged side as well.

yeah, ive read more about the stock and stillen airboxes making the best numbers so im goin that route but with the samco tube. we'll see what the couple changes with a cooler day (hopefully) will produce number wise. and unfortunately the Gs dont have any type of ducting that can provide better intake air flow

Dude, how in the world have I overlooked your thread for this long? Glad you finally got it buttoned up and got the tune. We need to get together so you can take me for a ride in her now. Maybe we can take a drive through pisgah/caesar's head one weekend. I NEED TWISTIES!

I also would like to get some feedback on CIN and your tuning session. I've visited their shop and I'm considering having my car dyno tuned there as well. Since I have the Osiris Tuner cable & license, I should be able to save a tiny bit.

I'd also like to talk about what you ran into with the engine build/swap because I'm trying to decide what my next step is going to be. There are enough guys in the upstate that are really doing some awesome DIY stuff that I'd love to get us all together and talk cars. Had a blast with you at ZDayz, but we ended doing more partying/drinking/driving than any kind of tech/shop talk.

Try a long tube intake, keeps the filter element out of the engine bay heat, and generally provides more low end power.

thats a negative on the cold air intake. they are deemed pretty worthless on our cars.

and yeah, hop, good times . ben @ cin is a cool dude, he followed up on me this morning to make sure everything was still going good with the car.
as far as the build, it was pretty straight-forward. just make sure you have everything you need and a machine shop that can do the work in a good amount of time and not keep you waiting.

you know you wanna gimme that nismo shift ****

I'm actually going to put it up for sale on here as soon as I get back from vacation. I gotta make some money to keep food in my baby girl's mouth. She's growing like a weed.

If your engine is gonna be broken in soon enough, I'd really like to do a Saturday drive sometime in July. Maybe not all the way back up to Fontana, but head in that general direction up 276. That's a great drive. You won't believe what I've been doing to my Z. She's cut up pretty bad right now.

i did this, but took it off cause i didnt see much of anything performance wise from it, not that i was expecting to anyway. it was cheap and easy, but seemed to make my filter dirty faster. imo, the stock box gets a lot of air is stock form, no need for a ram air tube or anything, it gets plenty, but you could try this out if you wanted to
