Default 2006 350z NA Build

Before I even get started i have done a lot of reading and i have searched for the answer to my question.
i am doing a rebuild on my motor since I had the oil consumption problem.
and i decided to go NA because it is more reliable.
here is my parts list
ARP Head Bolts
Eagle Rods
ACL main bearing
ACL rod bearing
Cometic Head Gasket
CP pistons 11:1
DC headers
test pipes
HKS exhaust
plenum spacer
short ram intake
(due to a last minute need for summer school can't afford cams rite now)
my question is do i need a tune?
and approx how much HP would i gain from this set up ?

I would buy cams instead of the headers. Then get it tuned.

You're changing the compression ratio of the engine with aftermarket pistons... you really have to ask if you need a tune??

Gotcha As long as you're keeping the stock injectors it should run fine. Also, I would seriously consider waiting until you can afford the cams to do it, they're already going to be out and will really help. Guarantee that you'll wish you had and end up putting them in later

You need the Mrev2 with the plenum spacer. Just the spacer won't do anything for you if you have an 06.

Yes you need a tune... that's where your gonna pick up power anyway

Junk those DC headers get long tubes or the Z1 momentum headers

Leave your 06 airbox on its the best intake for the car, just put a k/n panel in it

If your not getting cams for n/a build that's a big part of a n/a build

My guess would be around 300whp

With all this aside screw n/a builds go get a bp kit, run haltech and get a good tuner to tune it. Your gonna get bored with n/a power of a vq35

yeah man i ended up getting the cams i got some JWT S2 Cams . I have to have HFC so long tubes are out of the question. and i've never heard that about the intake. and honestly i don't want a turbo or SC it's too much maintenance for me.

I have P&P built heads with +1mm Manley valves JWT S7 cams and springs that most likely will be coming off my stroker that spun it's bearings (assuming the builder refuses to fix it) I also have an mrev2 & spacer.

You can see my build here:

Shorty headers are garbage - do it right, or don't bother.

Ditch the head studs, save money and get HR head bolts.
