I purchased this past week my Z touring model.

A bit nervous about purchasing a car on Ebay and from a dealer in Florida when I live in Montreal.

I ran the VIN before purchase and it checked out fine.
I am still waiting for delivery.
Man, I have never even sat in a Z before, never mind driven one.
I just love the looks of these cars.

 

Who inspected the car before you bid?

 

The dealership inspected the car.
I had some friends I tried to get a hold of with no success.

I hope I have done the right thing.

The Seller is listed as a power selling with no negative feedback with in the last six months.

Flying down is not going to happen. I guess I am going to have to just trust and wait. Little stress but not the big one.
The big one is my 18 year old son who is a model is flying alone to Milano Italy tonight for two months on his own for the first time. Have been packing rushing and rushing about getting his affairs in order.

You bought a car sight unseen without paying to have it inspected by a third party (such as Pep Boys). You’re a very trusting person. I hope things work out for you. Best of luck.

Who/what are the 'Pep Boys"? Why are they not on the Ebay site advertising their "services"?
Why do you make a comment like I should know who they are?


Why is it all of a sudden bad to purchase a car unseen and driven on Ebay?

 

I'll tell you why....
I purchased a 04' Suby STI 6 months ago on E-bay..... But the 'deal' seemed to good to be true....
So I drove down to N.C from Ottawa to ensure that the car/seller was legit....ends up that the pics on e-bay were fakes, and the seller's number was suddenly disconnected!!! I lost 3 days of work, 900$CND on expenses to check it out!!! Tust me, you should be very carefull.....
Here's an idea, look up a shop down there that could do an inspection, call them to ger evrything looked at.... if that turns out ok, then your mind should be set at ease (might cost you a few$$$) but heck, It might just be worth it....just a thaught!
