Default New Owner of a 2005 350Z Black Beauty

Hello all! I'm coming from a 2005 Suby WRX STi that I owned for about 1.5 yrs and was looking for something different. I really loved that car but like anything, over time it just got old. I did love the power it had and the incredible acceleration, but with the kinds of kids that would always want to race me, funny looks from older folks (like "what's he doing in THAT! That's for kids!" I just got tired of it. I'm in my 40's and decided to leave the kids alone.

My new (used) 350Z really feels like a true sports car. Somehow the Suby didn't, it seemed to be in a different league all together. Compared to the Z it just felt cheap. The Z just feels incredibly solid and when I'm driving it, I can't help but feel 007-ish. It's just such a neat car and incredibly quick as well. No lack of speed there.

Thanks!
The STi was a trade in as well. I was trying to go economy (rid myself of the high car payment and higher insurance costs) and bought a 2007 Scion tC. I have it now also and it's a really nice car... loaded with cool extras, excellent for the money. Being a Toyota product it's also built very well and is really solid like the Z. But that need to go fast part of me that left when I got rid of the STi was screaming for another fast car. I lasted one week before giving in, so now the 350Z has become part of my life. Honestly I like it better than the Suby. I do miss the whine of the turbo though, so possibly in the not too distant future I'll look into adding one on the Z.

Speaking of Turbo's, a guy in a red Camero pulled up next to me at light. When the light turned green his car sounded like a 727 jet getting ready to blast down the runway! It was SO LOUD! It was pretty impressive. I did well keeping up with him the first time, but the next light I just let him blast away from me. There was just too much traffic after that.

Yes! It's really incredible because it does give you a cockpit type feeling. Snug and very comfortable. It's a completely different feeling (better) than the STi was. STi was very fun, but in the Z you really feel you are part of the car.

I've already been out driving twice today, and I'm about to go again.

Hehe, thanks. So far so good.

Just got back from a nice long drive. The car really has exceeded my expectations. Love the way it sounds even though it's just stock so far.
