hey everyone.
I'm wanting to get rid of my SRT-4 and move up to a 350z. The srt was fast and fun. But i'm getting older and driving around in a neon is getting to me.
Anyways, I need some help buying a 350z. At first I wanted a black one because they look so nice clean. So maybe for the sake of having a cleaner looking car, I'll get the white one.
But I wanted your advice on what year to get or what year(s) to stay away from.
After reading the "Top 100 questions" sticky, I'm currently thinking along the lines of an 04 enthusiast (gotta have the cruise control/limited slip)with 40k miles or less.
any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

At least an 04.5. Other than that make sure all the TSB's have been taken care of when you get it. Make sure it was maintained well. Especially with the oil. Depending on your budget we could probably help you more.
Also whichever one you choose on getting if you have the extra cash get a clear bra. I know someone was selling one brand new for almost nothing in the classifieds.
That and get a good test drive, make sure theres no cupping of the tires. Check the engine bay and mak sure all the hoses and wires are still black and not greying or cracking. Look for rust spots under the wheel well.
Make sure the tires have a decent amount of tread left. Check the interior. If the interior is immaculate them more than likely the rest of the car was well maintained. Most people clean the outside but a lot neglect the inside. If thats clean the previous owner probably took good care of the car

ok, the clear bra thing is debatable for me because you can get the front bumper painted for the same price. Also, i heard after a few years the color of your bumper will differ from the color of your car.
Ahh yea that could be true. But you have to take into account that it would also be the same price to just get a new clear bra.
Also depending on where you are it won't be that cheap.
All depends on the person

Enthusiast is best buy. As another member here is always pointing out, miles is probably more important than year. Two things to do for sure are:
-Get carfax
-Have car inspected by good mechanic.

For most the enthusiast is the best. I got one. Although if you want to do limited tracking of your car then a track model would be the best bet. You get brembros, and the better re50's. Plus VDC.
All depends on budget. I wish I had of gotten a track but eh oh well
