Ordered an '07 Z
Hey guys... I use to post here a while ago silently drooling over the Z, hoping to get one eventually ...
Whelp, just put a $2,000 deposit on one ordered to my specifications
Daytona Blue
6-speed
Enthusiast
Side Airbags
Alum kickplate
Mats
Cargo Convenience package
Splash guards
@ $30k flat after all the tax and fees and such
It'll be here in 6-8 weeks ... and, as you can imagine, I'm extremely excited.

Thanks. Big deposit amount was probably one of the reasons I got a good deal
I'm really excited, but 6-8 weeks is a long time to wait... I'm gonna go insane.

Whelp, I got some bad news and some excellent news.
First, the bad news.
It seems like they were unable to order it (the last day they could order was the 22nd and they were procrastinating ).
The excellent news:
I forgave them because they were willing to do a DX with a dealer that had a very similar car to what I wanted. So, I now have my car . Even better is they allowed a person of my choosing to drive it back (I was out of town, so my mommy picked it up for me).
The only things different are the subtraction of the alum kickplates and the splash guards, but I got the aerodynamics package (which I'll probably be replacing anyway ).
Woohoo! Pictures will follow tomorrow ... for now, I need to goto bed because I just got off a plane Goodnight guys!

No mods for awhile, but I do plan to add a CarPC and *possibly* doing a new keyless access system using RFID and a push-button start.
The CarPC will use a dedicated battery while the car will keep a battery for starting all to itself. The starter battery will be one of those small lightweight ones, and the Car PC battery will probably be in the back for better weight distribution, and I'll make sure to get one of those ones that are designed to be in the passenger department so I don't get poisoned . Yes, I'm a geek
Eventually, I plan to do N/A mods (such as the 4.5L stroker kit, or, even more expensive, swap to a LS2/LS3/LS7) to bring it up to 350-500whp, but thats gonna be in 3 years or more
Pictures aren't quite ready but I'll post them before 12 . Thanks for the warm welcome and I'm glad to now be part of the Z owner's club.
Coz: ... They're out to get you!!! <_< >_> ... Just playin'. Actually, I almost think they were planning to do something sneaky by trying to make me take this one and forfeiting my $2000 *non-refundable deposit*, however, it seems like they chickened out after I showed myself to be thorough in checking out what was going on with my car .

Got 200 miles on her now...I'm actually quite surprised at how soft and smooth this car is on the road. It handles incredibly, of course, but I don't think its too rough, even when going over railroad tracks . The shifts are crisp, yet effortless and buttery-smooth. Also, when the car decelerates, you can hear a "winding down" sound that sounds almost like a jet engine... so freaking awesome. I'm lucky to have her, but she's also lucky to have me, as I've carefully planned her break-in and I'm as careful a driver as anyone could expect.
Goodnight again!
Oh, also, in case anyone was wondering, my mother took the photos in the previous post ... the setting was provided by my father ... It was a team effort there
