Hi guys, I just purchaced a 07 350z 2 days ago.
My friend with a 350z told me on his car he changed the oil at 500 miles and put in conventional oil until 3000 miles and then switched it to synthetic. Does that seem right or should i keep the original oil in for longer? I don't know how long I should keep the original oil in for because of the metal parts that break off during breaking in.
Sorry if this question has been asked many times.

Just drive the car with the original oil until your first scheduled oil change. Put what you want in at that time.

I personally use a higher quality dino oil to rule out any possibilty of burning oil. Theres no solid proof, but I've noticed that synthetics are thinner at higher temperatures than dino oils. Ive been using dino oil and I'm not burning oil (even though I thought I was..don't ask lol)

Sorry no pics of my 350z yet. The 350z is a San Marino Blue Enthusiast model.
For the people that said i should just wait till 3000 miles, is it because changing it so early is not necessary or is it bad for the break in?
