Default Introduction, New Guy Here

Hey all, just wanted to jump on here quick and introduce myself to the everyone on the forum. I'm not much of a forum guy when it comes to posting a ton but I do value all the information people share from their own experiences with tuning cars. Nothing is better than searching, reading, or asking those who have been there and done it. I'm still relatively young for and in experienced when it comes to real tuning, which is why I've turned to Sound Performance to handle my Z project. Beyond that, most my education came from turbocharging my Scion tC and learning the ins and outs of the that car.

Well the plan is to get with Sound Performance and bolt up their twin turbo kit. I've only got 11k miles on my block and thinking about shelling out the extra money for the twin install. The goal is to have the short block built by next year and shoot for a modest 500-600whp until I learn how to handle the power on the drag strip. I'd consider a single turbo kit but I'd like to keep my options open to something crazy if I ever get the urge.

haha 400whp is more than most can handle. Take a look at some of Alberto's vids and ask yourself if you really want that much power. haha "modest" you crack me up Seriously though congrats on the Z and can't wait to see the build.

I say modest because I've seen Sound Performance run down the drag strip with their 1000hp Z. Seeing how most of us will have the block built at one point or another why not get the most out of it… Was going to go the performance route to begin with but now thinking about starting from the ground up like every car I've done. Was toying around with the idea of throwing a turbo kit on right away but think the money would be better spent on some wheels, suspension, and brakes, maybe even some carbon fiber accent stuff here and there. Just going to play it by ear. Lots of good info searched out so far on here.
