Default My "new" 350z

Check out the end of page 6 and beginning of 7 for updated pictures!

I got a new project in the garage. Picked this up from the salvage auction last friday, lots of work to be done. But, I know it will be worth it in the end! I can hardly wait. My previous car is an eclipse gs (4 banger), so this is a drastic step up. This forum looks pretty sweet and with useful info, so ill be around for awhile. Its an 06 base model MT.

The hood is popped open, it fits

P.S. ill keep looking in the marketplace section, but if anyone has a full exhaust system, even stock, or a shift ****, let me know!

You afraid to get your hands dirty? Some people just like the challenge of fixing cars... and all Z's deserve a second chance. They're precious creatures. Just kidding with you...

As for the build... good luck and congrats! Keep us informed of you progress

the frame is absolutely bent, yes, but we knew that going into this. the frame work is the only task we cant do in our garage, so we take it to a frame shop.

King - We paid $6,600 for it. It has 32k miles on it with new springs (who knows which ones) and "silverline" exhaust. half of the exhaust is missing from behind the y pipe and back.

That frame looks pretty jacked up. Hopefully the shop can get it straight, but even if they do the car typically never drives the same again. I'm not one who would buy anything a salvage title unless I intended to make the car a trailer queen. Good luck with the project.

yes, the frame is jacked up. we just successfully sold our salvaged title mini cooper last night, so that is a plus. and youre very wrong about straightening unibodies...this is probably the 8th car we have had frame/unibody (there is no frame) damage on, and all of them have passed alignment with flying colors and driven like normal cars. shoot, when i took my eclipse in for my last alignment, nothing needed to be done! anywany, thanks for the good luck, and ill keep you all posted!

I used to have a neighbor who bought totaled cars and then rebuilt them in has garage. It was amazing to see the wrecks that went into that garage and the beautiful cars that emerged a couple weeks later. Wish I had those skills.
