Mission Accomplished!!!
2008 Touring, Carbon Silver, 6sp, with 19K miles, manufacture date 07/2008. Had to drive a rental about 300 miles one way to east coast time. I got on the road at about 4am and was a the dealership about 15 minutes after they opened...they were just a little surprised that I actually showed up.
I was 'told' to just look for a 370Z since it is a 'much better car' but being a one income mortgage payer there's this thing called a budget that I like to try to stay within. I'm sure I'll pick up a 370 at some point...but...for as good as this car feels driving as far as the response, quickness, etc. I can't imagine how much better a 370 feels, but then again this is the Z line, so I have no choice but to believe that and look forward to that some years down the road. Gonna drive this sparingly to keep the mileage low with the '95 Pathfinder as the daily driver.
I'm not into getting looked at or thrive for attention at all but for the short amount of time I've driven the car I've noticed the stares. Freakin' beautiful machine and I'm thoroughly stoked about it.
I drove a 77' 280Z back in the day and that feeling never leaves you....glad to be 'back'. I've got a 1978 280Z restoration project going on right now with a 1983ZX Turbo motor on the engine stand and hoping to see these side by side in the garage at some point.....
Drive on!
