shopping... thoughts?
2003 Track Edition 10 out of 10, MINT with 6500 miles on it. Car is garage kept and never seen rain. I trust the guy selling as he's a good friend. I've bought another vehicle from him before and he keeps his stuff cherry. He's asking 18k for it. Any input guys and gals?
Does sound like a pristine car but the price is still high only because of what else is out there.
For only a little more you could probably get a leftover 07-08
pics or anything?

standing by on pics (he's an hour from me so i dont have time to get up there this weekend). I asked him to snap a few really quick. Last time i saw the car it was in fact MINT. He takes excellent care of his vehicles (ie. toys). This car was not driven hard, never seen a track of any kind. Just a weekend driver and barely that based on the miles.
No modifications and he's already taken care of all the recalls. Stock tires still so i know that'd be something id have to replace soon just due to age.
I only put about 8-10k miles on my POV a year due to having a take-home cruiser that i use for all errands around town (im a cop in NOVA).

I know its funny about the mileage but its legit. This guy always has a "toy" that he keeps mint. i have previously bought a mint RC51 from him many years back. I trust him to have excellent vehicles and have seen this car in person. It truly looks like it could have been driven right off the showroom floor.
After asking around about storage and trunk space i feel like i could live with this car as a daily driver (even though i use my assigned vehicle 80% of the time).

That is exceptionally low mileage, but not inconceivable. If he's really looked after all the recalls and really babied it, then you might have found yourself a diamond. Good luck with the haggling on the price.
Let us know how you get on.

Blue book for this vehicle with 6,500 miles and in excellent condition is $14,655. Don't pay more than that. Buying a car is a losing investment in the first place, so it'd be exaggerated even more by overspending. It's great that he has babied the car, but it doesn't make it worth an extra $3300. Maybe if you were buying a collectible vehicle, but this is a run of the mill 350z. $15k's the most you should spend. The extra $ can be justified due to convenience of not having to have a mechanic look at it since you know the seller.

true its just another Z but its also the top of the line track edition. doesnt that count for something?
i can attest to it being MINT. im between this and a 330Ci ZHP right now... leaning towards the Bimmer but i do like the lines of the Z... and the performance. just sucks there is no back seat and nearly zero trunk space
