Definitely a scratch. I can feel it. There's no arguing it's anything else. The service department manager saw it and felt it too and said he's getting me a new window.
Either way the window still doesn't drop down as much as it should. Actually, it barely moves when I open the door and I can push it down about half an inch. The guy said it was the regulator making the noise but obviously the window wasn't aligned properly. The regulator was working fine until they switched out the Window Motor.

I've been prowling the internet for answers and so far the only answer seems to be to take the door panel off and reset the Regulator but I don't think I'm up for it. I might just raise hell. Maybe they didn't reset it?

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on becoming a Z owner. If you're having dramas with the window, as you've only just purchased from the dealer, they surely should fix it for you. Thought it sounds like they're being pretty decent.

Yeah so far they've managed to screw the door up more than fix it :/ I'm pretty bummed. Hopefully they can figure it out.

I am. I'm just so tired of going back. I had to go back 3 times in one day and it's not a short drive exactly. I'm hoping it was just the regulator needing to be reset. Maybe they forgot?

Oh also; paint sealant.. Whats up with that? It's just high-grade wax isn't it? Not worth 300 bucks..

Good that you're getting a new window. The dealer should handle that.I've got an 03
touring...you are gonna love the car.The Nismo stuff is great but expensive. As others have said, there are alot of CAI out there.I have a POPCHARGER..for the price, cannot beat it.I also added a BERK z tube. The OEM air box actually is not bad.Dropping in a K&N
is a start.Sounds better, too. The OEM Bose system is not very good compared to alot of aftermarket stuff...if you are into sound systems.
Good luck with the Z!

As a basic tip don't trust the dealer at all whatsoever.

If they're trying to sell you something, it's likely garbage.

Ask us first. Good Luck.

This forum is the way to go for parts. Before I got my WB Hub and NRG wheel the last thing I bought new was tires....for used rims. Before that.....uhhhhh.....Shift ****.......then.......Perrin Shorty antenna. everything else bargain and hustle to get....

Agreed with lgear. Even if it's something you HAVE to have, like an A/C condenser(needed one recently) I made a thread and ended up just havin a fellow Zer epoxy it up and filled it. Saved me $990 from the dealer.

Also, what happened to posting pix of yourself with the Z?

Welcome and congrats. Ignore the leghumpers.

Oh and I would look into some other wheels. Those look like they belong on a FWD car.

Welcome to the Forum. If sound is what you are going for Nismo CAI is just fine. Buying form a dealer will cost you a great deal more than anywhere else. Some good trusted vendors on this site would be happy to help.

My suggestion if you wanted bolt-ons would be 06 Rev-up Airbox with K&N drop in filter, Plenum Spacer, Resonated Test Pipes, Exhaust, & Re-flash. If you shop carefully on here you can have all of that for ~1K. It is your car, so other than those little things you should decide how to mod it. Thats a good part of the fun.
