Default Acquired 06 350z

Hello Everyone, I just bought a 2006 350z MT with 62k miles. I am the second owner on it and according to the previous owner he never had any oil issues. I believe its a 06/06 or 07/06. So does all 06 have oil issues. if so how would i check for that and the car has really good compression.

Welcome to the site. I think there is a thread on here with a VIN range of the cars that would have possibly had the oil consumption issues.

My friend had an 06 with an intake on it and the engine blew doing about 70mph. Didn't even have the car tune. I was behind him and seen sparks flying everywhere. Pulled over and seen a whole in the side of his block. Just keep an eye on your oil.

Not all of the '06 manuals had the oil consumption problem. In fact, very few of them had the problem. You don't have people on the forums saying how good their car is doing and not burning oil. If things are ok, no one really says anything. The problems usuallly look much worse on a forum since people are complaining. If your car has 62K on it, I suspect you will be ok. Either there is no problem or the engine was replaced long ago.

I have an '06 Z 68k miles 0 oil burning problem, and I don't strictly adhere to posted velocity advisement signage.

Not all have the issue and if you do just keep an eye on the oil.

It does not use it quickly. I still check mine every few hundred miles and have no original internal parts.

Enjoy your car.
