Default Finally got a Z...

...and I'm in love! It's a 2006 Grand Touring with 25k miles. I'm coming off a Chevy Cobalt that lasted me through the years, but I wanted a change. First order of business: better alarm system, tints, new HU, and a stealth radar detector.

Congrats and nice find! Take care of her.

and what's better than the stock alarm system? aftermarket alarm systems usually suck...

Congrats!

I would agree about the aftermarket alarm systems...Although i've only had experience with Compustar and Viper. I've had 4 compustar systems and 2 viper systems(all 2 way pager alarm systems) and they were done through various installers, but eventually(after about 1-2yrs), they started crapping out..and not just the remote losing battery...to the point where functions stopped working, remote would randomly work, etc...

I now just stick to OEM alarm...besides, there really wasn't anything of value to take in my car haha and I just made sure I have comprehensive insurance coverage for theft. As long as I've hidden any valuables, I've never had an issue

Wow, didn't realize that about aftermarket alarms. Definitely something for me to think about. I'm a little paranoid because my last car got broken into...no fun waking up to a busted window.

Some after market alarms are crappy but definitely get a viper alarm. I have the viper 5901 with additional proximity sensor that beeps even before a person touches my car. Here is the amazon link
