Yeah I realized this and it sucks. It was my first time buying a car and I was buying my dream car at that so I (of course) got a head of myself and bought this one.

I would love to do this but I’m not sure I can buy another Z without having to sell this one

If no, it'll never drive correctly, may put you at risk and will eat tires. Function > form always. Good luck.
Thanks for the advice! I might do this because I don’t have many option and/ or money

I can’t take the number off it appears to be welded on so I just took some pictures of the underneath

Back lights are pretty bend up

The back bumper appears to be almost welded on and I can’t get to some of the bolts to undo it due to the damage, this is underneath the car

Right side underneath

Don't be too hard on yourself, def worth $50-100 to have a good shop look at it. Then you'll know if it's safe or a money pit!

Well my budget depends on how much I can get for this Z and this maxima I’m also selling. And I would say max I could travel is two hours. Another than that I would have to get it delievered to me. Unless it’s a stupid good deal

Well if the Z was never properly repaired, and you're gonna sell it HONESTLY to someone, you'd be lucky to sell it for $2k. What's the details on the maxima? Year, trim, miles, condition of interior, exterior, and engine? Any accidents?

the maxima is a 95 with 180,000 miles. The interior is pretty good, the seats are a little torn up but that’s it. Exterior there are a couple of dents, one in the front left door and one on the back right fender. It’s a v6, recently fixed the radiator fan and we got a new battery. New oil and oil filter. We haven’t been in any serious accidents. Maybe we bumped into a couple of signs and that’s how it got the dents but nothing serious. Also there is a scratch on the left door. A/c works, radio works, it’s got some nice speakers. We want 2k for it and a few people are intrested in it

You may not get a decent z for $4k. You might get even more for just parting out the Z alone.
But another option is not to listen to anyone! They say the rear is not replaceable, I say hold my beer and watch this ****!
Go out/online and search for a 350z SHELL (no engine, no trans, wheels optional) for as cheap as godly possible. Cut off the back end and weld that SOB onto your car. BOOM REPLACEABLE

The pics of the car, well, let's just say, I've seen better AND I've seen worse. The other option is to not spend any money on this one, drive it as is, sell the Max, save your pennies for a couple of years then have at something different, maybe newer or whatever. Just don't sink a lot into this one because once you start, it's all sunk costs (meaning you will NEVER see or recover it). If it runs, run it to the ground and move on.

I like this idea! Broken 350z are pretty cheap in my area. It may be stupid and I might lose a lot of money but for right now. We roll with a broken back end 😎

I'd ask if you were joking, but I know you're not.

well I’m obviously not gonna do that. I don’t have the money for anything right now nor the experience with welding or cutting. I was semi joking. More of a pipe dream than anything
