Hey guys, i dont know what to make of this. I was hearing a rattle coming from the engine, it sounded like it could of been the timing chain or a lifter. when i was doing an oil change, there was alot of metal shavings. I ended up taking off the sump i found these in the sump.
Are these piston rings
Is there a logical explaination?

Those are thrust washers that belong installed along your crankshaft under girdle # 3. Their purpose is to prevent end float in the crank. You have one more to find in there and will need a tear down to see what went wrong.
