Default 05’ 350z HELP/ecu

My z has been down for a few months and I could really use some insight. I came home from the gym one night and my z had a weird burning plastic smell coming from front passenger side and exhaust had a flutter to it. After I turned off it has started back up since. Only cranks but no start.

What I’ve noticed is that ecu has ceased communication with the car.. no CEL, nats light stays solid, and fans go on full blast. My cheapo scanner will also not read anything

The only fuse that always pops after replacement and trying to start is the “engine control module relay”(77). Every other fuse does not blow. I have not checked relays due to my lack of knowledge but I’ve read that it could be ignition relay

What I have done so far to try and find a solution is replace ecm(77) fuse, replaced ecu itself with matching part number. Tried to source any burnt wires but I tragically lack in electrical department. What I dude find was my passenger headlight wire was busted so I unplugged both headlight and removed, replaced ecm fuse and tried to start again with no luck. It might help to add that everytime I would replace that fuse the CEL would appear momentarily and then it would disappear. Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome- but this is a question that's not likely to be answered from behind a keyboard. It might help to post some specifics about your '05 Z (mileage, mods, past electrical problems. etc), but I think you need some hands-on time with an experienced Nissan tech to get to the bottom of your troubles. Just my $0.02...
