P.S. 13,000 miles in a 3 months old car? That's a lot, where you drive it to man?

It's my daily driver.

Actually no, i'm 23 and bought the car 3 months ago - I'm a web developer. Hate to tell you, I took my z06 there in dry conditions with Eagle F1 Goodyears, and the tires slipped pretty bad. The spot is horrible. All I'm saying is that if I did the same thing in the corvette i own i prolly wouldn't have been in the guardrail. I do blame the vehicle for further inducing my 360 deg. spin! Bu I initiated it - it's my fault entirely.

At least you admit your fault. Everyone else plays it off as if the car was to blame.

I remember this thread. His nismo mysteriously lost control in a turn-about and hit an SUV head on. The pics of the damage (IMO) that the OP was driving too fast.

not suprised he left the forum after posting this thread.

No they don't. The RE050A is rated "excellent" for both wet traction and hydroplaning resistance.

The problem is that you were both too stupid to drive a sports car, sorry.

I'm not sure what the heck happened, but i was turning onto the on ramp which is hill, and i did give it a little gas nothing that I haven't given it before but for some reason the car completely lost control and spun in circle and hit the guardrail mostly on the drivers side and ended up like this...

I wasn't going to fast ethier, maybe 20 mph, and possibly on impact about 15mph - maybe less. No air bags went off, nothing - very odd. Does anyone know if the Nissan 350z traction control has inherit problems? I read somewhere that a G35 owner, which is very similar to the 350, crashed his car going through puddle at 65 spun out everything. But comeon this was me going maybe 20 mph around corner not to aggressive and I did feel the car kick out and try to correct it but everythign locked up. More odd and worrysome is why my car did this, it seemed like the car completely lost control and everything locked up! God forbid another car, or truck was coming I would of been wiped out hit! I wonder if this is repairable as the car is limited production only 1500 made - this is 350Z Nismo. I dont think any damage was done to the engine, although I did smell antifreeze, so the radiator must been punctured. The guardrail basically the bottom of it hit exactly where the hood and the bottom front end meet. In any case this is my first accident so I wanted to know how long it'd take to fix this and if my car is going to safe to drive after repairs?

Also get this, the state cop came and I told him I was doing around the corner and the car just lost it. He kept telling me its the driver, I was like whatever... ****ole wrote me a ticket for driving to fast. I'm going to go back and take photos of the guardrail - minimum damage, barely nothing just dent with some paint. I dont know why my car looks so badly damaged????

Anyways I want to fight the ticket because giving me ticket for driving too fast in speeding conditions is bull dont you think? I honestly think that the area is very very slick and should of had warning "slipper pavement" sign or something, and combination of possibly the TC further inducing my spin - it certainly didn't help as it felt like I was litterly hydroplaning - tho there wasn't too to much water tho??

where is the car now? cuz the other day i saw a red nismo Z on a vehicle towing semi with front end dmg here in OKC....

Having owned my car for 6 years now and nearly 90K miles and not wrecking the car (knock on wood) i can say with much certainty, the stock tires do infact suck in damp conditions. Having gone through 2 sets of stock rears, and on my 4th set of kuhmos, there is no comparison. The stock tires were so unpreditcable and snappy they were extremely dangerous.

I will also add the lower level level TCS (not VDC) is also more dangerous than having none, at least for anyone who has any ability to drive.

If there are drivers out there who are seriously scared or concerned about the cars stability in the rain, do yourself a big favor and get rid of the RE0XX tires.

Actually, they suck. When it rains, my back tires kick out going around a rotary at 30 mph. I always have to be careful around that rotary in the rain. To be fair, my Michelin PS2's did the same thing. Performance tires just doing handle well wet.

I like that 'my' car crashed. like it crashed itself. and 'for some reason' it just spun.

you either had mechanical failure (tire flat, suspension broke) or there was debris on the road (leaves, sand, wetness) that you didn't compensate for. if that is the case I am sure you will figure it out. from your pictures it looks wet out. so I say you didn't compensate for a wet road. stock tires suck hard.

this thread is titled: 'I crashed my 350z NISMO!!!!' it happens, don't worry.

Too bad the crashed cars have left the forum.

I kinda wanted dibs on the mass dampers if they aren't bent.
