salvage Nismo. buy?
So i found a salvage Nismo Z with 2500 miles on it. It only has front end damage. drivetrain is perfect. Needs new hood, front bumper, radiator, and front frame rail was bent and needs some fixing. But other than that it is perfect inside and out. They want 11k for it. Is it worth it purchase and fix, or even part out?

it wont be worth much, and bent frame is always bad news .. but that doesnt mean it doesnt have its uses. I would have it thoroughly inspected to verify what else needs to be replaced.
scope out the costs to repair, add that to the initial cost .. did you just score your self a nismo for half cost? just dont have big hopes on resale value.

nismo z with 2500 miles only 11,000k sounds fishy to me.
I would make sure the engine wasn't damaged. Get a good car inspector and pay him good to find some major problems on this car. 11k for almost new nismo "salvaged" Z is still cheap.

Sounds very similar to this thread:

I'll give the same advice, however: walk away!

wow, yea that is the exact same one i found. i'm assuming the seller did not sell it and lowered the price maybe? I would not buy the car to fix it, but parting out instead. Everything is in great condition except for where the accident was.

dont buy savage cause later if u want to resale the car, is gonna be hard to sell. i would get a savage vehicle only if i plan to drive it for at least 10+years. so at least u get the most out of it.
