You should be fine, make sure you get an RPM window switch so it cuts the nitrous when you get close to redline.

Also make sure you get one step colder plugs. Don't get platnium's though, iridium or copper only.

Thats good to know - I want to keep the OEM internals with my install...glad people actually do keep stock internals with N0S. I can't find anyone in the UK that has installed N0S on the Z so have to gate crash your party instead!

You should have the kit installed by now???

your cars gonna blow up dude, just get a trubo, and save your pistons...J/K i used to have "a poormans S.C" (NOS), is it worth making and extra 55hp on 3800lbs car witha 75shot? Not when you might blow it up. Save your money geta turbo

I agree, there is always a big risk with nitrious on a stock block. That kit pry ran you about a grand, invest that grand make 5 grand out of it and buy a turbo kit!!!

You all act like turbos are the safest thing in the world... In my area alone I have seen 4 Z's blow due to one greddy TT kit and 3 turbonetics kit. Anything can blow a motor, all you need is a good tune and know what the hell your doing.

Nitrous is as safe as a turbo, just have it installed right and use it wisely. By the way, nitrous is a lot better on your engine over time because a Turbo and SC always put constant strain on the engine, where nitrous does not.

Tight-Z, i fully agree with your statement. I've seen more blown Z motors in the shops around my house due to overboosting superchargers and Turbo kits than with any N20. Not to mention the fact that, where a TT/ST or supercharger may cost 5000.00-7500.00 (Greddy TT:5500 w/ I.C., APS TT:somewhere around 7000 i think, Stillen:3700-5500, Turbonetics ST:5000, etc.) the install for those kits can range from 600+ for a supercharger and 1000+ for a TT kit with tuning. And thats not including the boost gagues, pods, turbo timer, and so much more thats involved in a huge project like that.

I am a poorman and I like shiny chrome bottles, OK?

I'm going for a progressive system which will hopefully be a little gentler on the engine and it will all be set up on the rollers. A big appeal for me is that I haven't heard of anyone in the UK who has installed N20 yet on a Z yet (??).

okay, i have a greddy on a stock block, no problems, most of the kits you see blow up, are from improper tuning and install, nitrous??? even with 100shot, ive seen high 12's, but its not worth a motor, ide like to see a dyno of a 100 shot, i bet its right at 300hp maybe less

Not every turbo kit has a problem, and if you read my post I said, most problems can be avoided with good tuning. And I have been running a 100 shot of NOS for about a year now and my Z runs around 12.2's at the track and is dynoed at 347 HP to the wheels and 356 torque. Granted i have smaller bolts ons also, exhuast/CAI/Headers/Flywheel/etc... So u still want to bet?

I agree, Nitrious never gives accurate readings, it always changes. Also you can not spray at high at mphs like tc/sc can. The engine can't handle nitrious at 80mph rolls. Also i have seen more people blow head gaskets with N20 than TC/SC. But it is also true that with propper tunning either setup can be prosperous! Just gotta know what your doing when it comes to spray. Plus there is so many more rules when it comes to n20 @ the tracks.
