Default summer time bottle Q.

This is my first summer with my NOS kit. And should I worry about my bottle being in the back of my car. if so, at what degree outside should i take my bottle out, b/c its hotter in that trunk

Get a blow down tube. If you track your car it is a must have for track safety and also hot summers.

I don’t race accept the street. And does that blow down tube need to go through the car body? Or is it that necessary

yes, you have to make a hole in the body. But look at this way, make a controlled hole, for safety, or let the bottle pressure get high and.......BANG.

You should be fine as-is. If you got any name brand bottle, it will have a built in safety pressure release. I have never seen the pressure rise that much, even after baking in the sun all day.

the burst disk pops at 3200 psi. thats almost triple what your bottle needs to be at when spraying. i dont know why they make it at 3200 psi, i think its too high. it should be at around 2000psi. but that a whole new topic.

back on topic, you dont need a blow down tube unless you track/drag your car. and the whole point of one is to safely vent the bottle contents out of your car. your car wont pass tech without one. worst case if the burst disk does pop and you dont have a blow down is the bottle will vent out in your car and make it smell like somone farted for a few days. also, if theres anything close to where the bottle vents, theres a chance it will get damaged due to the extreme cold.

left the bottle in my friends golf all summer long and never had a problem. I never seen the bottle reach so much as 2000psi so i cant say that i would have many concerns. He had a NOS system too.
