Seriously... I'm curious how often people hit the juice on the street.
I don't have nitrous now, I might get it sometime. But I'm honestly curious how often people hit the bottle on the street and also...
How often do you run it total? (i.e. track AND street) and what shot do you run?

I go through a bottle or so a month. I hit it for 3-5 second runs a few times a week (normally when someone wants to "play"). The only time I went to the track, I emptied a full bottle.

I run a 125 HP nitrous express wet shot.

My full setup might be available in one or two months.

 

WTF-how did you empty a full bottle you ran less than 5X on N20??

 

It was more than 5 runs...a few of the runs included palsy shifting and, if you recall, my bottle heater wasn't working so my times didn't accurately disclose whether I was on n2o or not.

 

ran nitrous on the civic for 2 years or so. Sprayed the hell out of the 1.6L single cam. Only had a 50 shot for the street and 75 for the track. Emptied a bottle a week the first couple months. After that, I went through a bottle about once every couple months. Installed the spray with 50k miles on the motor. The motor ran perfect the day I sold the car and it had 100k miles on it.

The supra I just sprayed the intercooler....that really doesn't count.

The Z....I'll let you know. Gonna try to install it this weekend.

Turbo = headache

I've had nitrous on my Z for about a week and a half and have been through 2 and a half bottles so far. It has to be more addicting than crack! I love this stuff!

seriously though, i was doing the bottle a week thing for the first two weeks now it lasts me like 3 weeks or so. it is so fun, but it gets expensive filling it once a week!

 

Yeah, I just finished up my 3rd bottle in less than 2 weeks! I claimed I had to empty the bottle to refill it for the dyno im going to on Saturday. I keep finding "excusses" why I have to empty it though!

 

Roughly how much to fill a bottle? And how many runs do you get out of the 10lb bottle on average if you spray 3-5 seconds? Curious how this will affetc my pocket...

 

it costs like 25 dollars to fill it up, you will learn really fast how much nitrous it takes to empty a bottle, i think it lasts a pretty fair amount...

you can get a good 6 full sprays from a 10lbs bottle. Thats usually what I got. And when I say full spray, i mean like 2-3 gears of WOT spraying. Obviously if you are going to dyno or run on the track, you want it full so you have high bottle pressure. I mean you can get more sprays out of the bottle, but when the bottle pressure is low, you end up spraying less nitrous and the same amount of full so you become pig rich and it can make your car bog.

 

My zex kit lasts about 1 day on the track about 5-6 runs. My problem is the vendor that fills mine only gets it to 800psi, some people tell me it should be more like 1200psi? I heat it to keep it up but my heater only heats to 85 degrees bottle temp then shuts off...
