Default direct port NX system

Why aren't people using this, wouldn't it be much safer? I really am looking into this real soon. And you can still get jets for 50 - 125 shot or it will also go to 300.

Any experienced people please post whats up and why I haven't seen anyone with this, should I be the guinea pig.

And again isn't this the safest way!

I know about this, but what about with the stock manifold. For me this wouldn't cost much more (all machine work on my manifold would be free). Only difference would be the $300 extra dollars I'd have to pay NX for the system.

Any input is welcome

First off, its much more difficult to install for the DIY'ers and if you did have it installed by a shop the $300 cost difference just went up more. In my own application, I like how I can change my shot in a matter of minutes. I have a utec, so I have a map for 100 shot on 93 octane and a map for 150 shot on 110 octane. It would be a pain to switch shots on direct port unless you went with an SSV manifold which is even more money.

From what I've read on this forum, most engine problems caused by nitrous are do to incomplete kits that are not set-up properly. I don't know how many engines have gone down because they lacked proper nitrous/fuel dispersement by a single wet nozzle.

Where do you plan to put the jets on the stock manifold? I assume the lower plenum, but is there room down there? I imagine that would take some seriously creative line routing.

Good luck.

I just put on the iso thermal gasket and was looking, I believe right near the bottom of the lower plenum would work. I am still deciding on whether I should go this route or do the more normal and just get a wet kit. Either way I have a utec and wide band so controlling everything is not going to be a problem.

yes it is the safest way, the kit costs about 200 more dollars if you get it from me. i have a 80006 ready to drop in my car right now.

here is the hard part, i have 8 hours, yes 8 into just drilling and tapping the nozzles and bending the nozzle side of the fuel lines, i think it would take me about 8 more hours easily to finish it. thats 16 hours of labor at 75 each. not worth it. i am working on some ways to keep the cost down and i have it set up with nitrous express to do a 80006 and change the hard lines over to nylon set up. i will have update soon for the price and thats something you can do yourself.

direct port is the safest best way to go without a doubt. i have seen nitrous destroy some engines.
