Thanks for the suggestions.

I do have a 2006 Z which I purchased the extended 100,000 mile warranty for, so I'm being careful that I only do mods that can be un-installed quickly, and they don't leave evidence that they were there, like cutting wires.

Not good to admit to felony premeditated insurance fraud [extended warranty or service insurance contract] on inet and forums...."don't leave evidence".

sorry if my quote was too high for you to do it correctly.

a new fuel line is 125+ you will need to get one and do it right, it will leak eventually.

good luck with everything. one thing i always say is nitrous is not "cheap" to do it right. it is an inexpensive alternative to a turbo and supercharger...

Not all all Jeremy, i wanted to drive the car up there and have you take care of it, but this guy kept insisting how he had worked on Z's before and the install would be a snap...that type of mechanic.

long story short, i picked up a new fuel damper line from dealer for $140, had it replaced, i replaced the sparks on the car myself thanks to a member writeup i found, and the guy finally finished up the install.

can you beleive he still had the nerve to tell me i owed him the full amount? its too bad all the good mechanics are nowhere near Miami. if a shop opened up in Miami that specialized in Zs they would do so well.

It looks like the UTEC is a better piggyback system cause you just plug it inline with the OE ECM.
It comes with direct plug in adapters.
Wrong!

You have to cut NO factory wires with J&S Ultra Safeguard.

You just wire it into the sport harness and then it becomes plug'n'play.

True you have to buy this harness and spend the time wiring it into this, but it makes cutting factory lines completely unnecessary. I have a J&S Ultra Safeguard already wired to one of these just sittin around... but it goes with the S/Cer kit I'm gettin ready to sell sorry

On a related note... I really do need to know what size the fuel line is lol... although I didn't cut any coil wires, I did cut the fuel line >_<

Since the damage is done and I plan on NAWZ'ing later, what size hose barb am I to get to shove into this extremely thin tube? I'll try the hot water method, but what size hose barb is needed? 1/4"? 1/8"???

forget trying to fix it man, i tried every method i could think of that night and nothing worked.

youre gonna have to bite the bullet and pickup a new line at the dealer $125+
, and tap the fuel line the right way which is using the AAM fuel tap or similar clones..
