Default Kinetix V4 plenum with nitrous??

As said above, i have the kinetix V4 plenum and i'm thinking of going with 100 shot of nitrous (NX kit). what do you guys think about the V4 holding up?
i know this version was supposed to be built strong enough to handle it but i still have my doubts. It didnt look too strong if you ask me but then again i didnt see any of the other versions. opinions?

Just wondering what everything thinks... or if anyone has already done it.... Thanks!

David.

does nitrous create any back pressure into the plenum like a turbo? if so, I wouldnt. its weak point is that it has no internal hold downs IMO. pressure could blow it open. but I think nitrous doesnt create any pressure outside the cylinder.

Great, thanks for the input

How long have you been using the NX kit? And have you been at a 100 shot the entire time?

yes, 100 shot the whole time. I've had it for about 8 months I guess.

Nitrous does not pressurize the intake at all, so you should not experience any problems with a NOS system that is functioning normally. However, there are a few situations (or malfunctions) that can occur that create a "back fire" which rapidly pressurizes the manifold (there have been a few threads on this). When this occurs usually everything upstream of the throttle plate is blown apart. I wouldn't be afraid to use NOS with your intake, but you might want to read through the "back fire" threads to assure that you have addressed the issues associated with a NOS back fire.

backfire can ocour if you spray when not at wide open throttle.
Since the Z has drive by wire putting the wot switch underneach the gas pedal might not always mean it's at wot when it's depressed. You will need a TPS switch that splices directly into the TPS in your ecu to ensure that you truly only spray at wot.
NX has that switch
Also make sure you have a window switch

This should avoid the danger of backfire. These are must have's no matter what if you run n2o

There should be no additional stress as far as pressure goes, so that plenumshould hold up. It's always a good idea to run a metal planum anyway, but that's a whole different story IMO....
