This is the thread on the TN kit. I talk with Craig a lot, and it was a lot of trouble getting 500+ out of his tn kit. He changed out everything in the end, and it still isn't 100%. If he had bought piece by piece he would have had a twin kit, but he was on a mission. I think for 400+ a fuel system may be a good idea.

Personally I think it would be cool to make power out of that kit if you can figure it out. So many people have that kit.
I plan on the RC 650cc's and fuel rails, as well as the return system. I am just concerned with the wastegate being an issue down the road, and I want get all possible issues out of the way. I have heard that other brands do a better job of managing the boost, than the Turbonetics products.

Yeah the WG is an issue. Sorry I read you and Bradley posting about that and thought you both agreed a new WG was needed ( I agree). Sam seems to think that kit can do 600 hp, and his record is pretty flawless (on c16 however).

I would maybe look at another brand of injector if you don't already have them. I don't think the DW's are much more and seem to not have as high a failure rate. You can see people argue about this all day on the FI forum for more info.

Everybody's got one. I enjoy this type of stuff, it's more of a hobby, as well as knowledge earned. If you don't mind cruising then your set up is fine, but i'm a speed freak, and limit pusher, so it work's great for me.

More like 20k when you have to buy a motor. I'll admit, I didn't expect to spend as much, but it's too late now.

If you are looking for a new wastegate I would suggest either a TIAL or a JGS. I am currently running the JGS400 40mm along with there turbo manifold and downpipe. JGS is pretty well known in the ka-t world. All of there products are solid and have awesome customer service.

JGS400 40mm

JGS500 50mm

Oh and the JGS400 is capable of handling 750+whp

I guess everyone will tell you something different. Maybe just check with who you're buying parts from and see what they use in their cars to see what failure rates they have experienced. Jeremy built mine, and pushed DW's. He gave them to me for the same price as RC's. If it comes down to say $100, that's really a non factor when you look at what could happen.

Thanks Lance, looks like a winner. What made you go with JGS over Tial?

RC has a rep for high failure rate?

Well when you blow a motor, it's either put the same one in again, or buy a built one. I didn't have much choice.

I didn't think so until people in the FI forum started bitching about them. Like i said my tuner wouldn't warranty anything with them in my car so it was an easy decision for me. With that said some others may say they never fail. The 5 quotes I got on my car all excluded rc's from the build sheet siting failure rate as the reason.
