I'm still waiting for April 1st..... Although it's even tempting now with the sun out and roads looking clear, I know there's a layer of salt just waiting to corrode my underbody

I just don't want to give up the glass-like finish on the paint from being detailed in early December. :P Especially since the forecast is for snow/sleet/rain every day this week.

I need to call up Z1 and order my trans, diff, and brake fluids for our first mod party...

Depending on what you need, S&G Import Parts in Berkly will probably carry it. They carry Redline fluids, ATE brake fluid.. give 'em a call. If they don't have it maybe they can order..

Reeeaalllyyy... I was looking for a redline dealer local... didn't have any luck last summer. I like local!

I may have just got a pretty sweet deal on a set of custom BC ER coilovers. I'll find out for sure on the 10th. I am not exactly ready for them but I couldn't pass it up.

Normally Steve, I'd be right there with ya. (Not putting the insurance back on till later in the month.) But since I had a loan on the Z, they require proof of insurance. I had hit the limit and couldn't push it back a month or they'd charge me for their own insurance. (ripoff)

Now that I just paid the car off, I'm no longer required to carry it while it is in storage. I'm optomistic that it will get better soon. I almost drove it today but I need the rain to wash away the salt first. So tempting ... so tempting.

Nice! Are you selling your old wheels?

EDIT: LOL - I just realized these are your old wheels. Killer job on them! Did you have to add a clear coat to protect the polish?

I'm liking the polished look of the wheels and the painted headlights.

Did you do the headlights yourself?

Edmond: I have some 06+ headlights in OEM silver. I'd be happy to trade them for your painted plus a little cash or beer!

Brian, been looking to do this. Im intrested, straight trade. What condition is your set in?

Billy, thanks bro. I wanted a more aggressive stance this season. The wheels went from a +12 to a -3 offset. few others odds and ends as well.

-6 point autopower roll cage.
-carbon rear diffuser

Thank you, yes I did them myself, roughly a weekend of work. bake, Disassemble, Scuff, plastic prep, primer, paint, assemble. A LOT OF WORK.

You betcha. Straight trade.

These belonged to Deepu off his Nismo. He had the clear bra installed over the headlights. There is one small scratch into the clear bra after his accident. I can send a photo if you'd like. You probably could re-clear bra that headlight and eliminate the mark. Since he had the bra on since new, the lenses are in fantastic shape.

They are on my bench right now. I never installed them because I wanted to paint them black. I'd never done it before and didn't want to mess up a good set of lights.

EDIT: Also, the tabs are in perfect shape. (No breaks)

Excited Drivers!

I Write this Email to you because as we know the first Saturday in May is the beginning of the drive season and winter was harsh on us here in the midwest. That cruel ***** hit us hard here in the midwest and Im ready to get the cars out and drive! Get those cars tuned, fluids changed, fresh brakes and fresh tires. This drive I am emailing you about will continue to be in Leelanau County Michigan.
It will consist of 85 miles of twisty winding roads to hills to spots where its flat out straights.
Meeting point is Gold Coast Marina in Frankfort,Mi at 1:00 PM EST
We will spend 30 Minutes allowance for everyone to get there, stretch, and organize into groups.
This caravan leaves VERY PROMPTLY AT 130 PM EST
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FULL TANK OF GAS AND A FULL STOMACH.
Dinner will be scheduled at 530-630 in Traverse City,Mi Depending on how many People are in attendance.

IF you are driving more then 1 hour or want to stay overnight. Please include this in the RSVP So I can call around and get a hotel of choice.
For those with families I suggest you bring the family for this and make it a weekend getaway. How I will be doing this event this year is wife and kids will be at near cabin or hotel on beach and Ill go and play for the day. They may meet us up for dinner since its so great.

You may be thinking that this is a long drive to make another drive but we don't have the good fortune to have great roads all over the state like other states. We gotta go to the ones we love. Every year this is an amazing drive. This year I will be Anticipating 50+ cars. I expect those in the Metro Detroit area to come out. Its an amazing fun time.

If you are on any forums PLEASE POST THIS SO ATTENDANCE CAN BE HUGE!

^^ Nice Justin! Please make a seperate thread on this so it doesn't get lost in the Detroit threads. Also note, the distance to Frankfort, Mi is probably the same for both the Detroit folks and the Chicago folks. Be sure to hit up the Windy City Z Club and ChicagoZ.com guys.

EDIT: Do you have any photos or video from previous events? That would help sell this.

We will advise the Great Lakes Z Club members and put it in the calendar.
