Some other sites you might be interested in for autocrossing. Both Milwaukee SCCA and WAI hold their events at Miller Park as well as Tri State and Madison hold a couple events there every year. That's about 18 events per year. Milwaukee is also hosting a national tour event this year 7/1-2/06 at Miller Park. Check out these sites

You do not have to be member to participate. The entry fee is higher for non members. Say $30.00 We normally get 3 runs in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Not really alot of track time for the money but a heck of alot of fun. Member ship in the WAI is $30 and SCCA $80. You would get about $10 discount per event by joining with both clubs a wash with SCCA but a great deal for WAI.

I'm confused.
Are you talking about auto X, or track events? They are VERY different. Both are a lot of fun though. I enjoy 2 hours of track time more than 4-10 1 minute laps though. I like using all 6 gears!

Both have thier plus's.....
Either one is great but i think just showing up at the auto x would be a hoot..
i spose the next one would be months off anyways.. in any case ill be there..

Let me attempt to explain. An AutoX is driving the sh*t out of your car for about a minute in a parking lot, driving around...cones, trying to set a fast lap. Then usually waiting about an hour to try again.
A track event is driving a Road Race course for about a half hour driving the sh*t out of your car. But a track event you will see speeds near 140 mph. Depending on the track. A fellow z owner used 6th gear at Watkins Glen. Most autoX events max out in 2nd gear.....maybe touching 3rd gear.
While I like finding THE limit in 2nd gear, which is a challenge & fun, finding it in 5th is a totaly different thrill.
