Hi. I'm in the process of moving to Virginia but I be visiting my in-laws for the month of Oct. I be driving from Ca. to Oh. then down to Va at the end of Oct beginning of Nov. I was wondering if any of you are near the area and have meets or even some auto-x/ track events that I can attend while I'm there. thanks

I'm in Columbus, about an hour or so west of Cumberland. Unfortunately, Ohio has kind of a short season compared to SoCal for driving events. But if the weather stays nice enough there are some killer roads south of Zanesville - been wanting to head south down St Rt 555 as I hear it has twisties and elevations. Might be able to scare up some members of ZROC to welcome a west coast enthusiast - keep us posted.http://www.zroc.org

 

555 is a nice route. I forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.

 

I'm always up for that drive. Can you keep me posted on one in Oct. ZROC is planning?

FINAL DRIVING EVENT FOR THE SEASON!!!

October 14, 2007 (Sunday!) ZROC will wrap up another great season with Bob's Westward Cruize to Indian Lake, with a midway stop at Ohio Caverns. Meet at 10:00 AM at Woody's BBQ, St Rts 33/42, same as the last 2 years. Bob & Karen Krochefsky

know these roads like the back of their hands (of course we all know that Koki is actually navigating!) and every year finds us in unexplored territory. We will stop in at Ohio Caverns, and those who wish can take the tour of the best caverns in Ohio (charge for admission) and those who might be a bit sqeamish about going underground can hang out for some extra socializing. I do highly recommend the tour but that is your call. We will proceed from there to Indian Lake, where hopefully it will be nice enough to sit on the veranda for some lunch and refreshing beverages. We have had over 20 cars on some of our events this year, and I would love to see that number blown away for the final cruize. I am posting this up on the various Z forums as last year we had several people come from Cincinnati and they were all very impressed with "how we roll". So mark your calendars now (in ink!!) and join the best damn Z Club in the country for a fun afternoon.

Well as much as I would like to go to this, I can't. I had to cut my stay in Ohio short since I be receiving the keys to my new house (in Virginia) on the morning of the 15th. So I be leaving Ohio on the 14th early on the morning.
