Does your TV sit on a base, or do you have it bolted to the wall? I'm thinking of securing it to a pull out wooden base.

Ive got mine on my dresser currently have a wall mount but too lazy to set it up, ive got a sony 120 mhz 1080p lcd and its been golden, has built in internet connectivity so i can stream netflix straight to the tv as well as like youtube and hulu etc, highly recommended if you have a netflix account to get one with a built in netflix feature, instant queue > life. The panasonic plasmas are really nice too bought one for mi madres living room and she loves it it is 720p but unless you have a blu ray player thats about as good as hdtv or upconvert will get you for a good price. If you are getting it froma retail store wait until black friday probable can find a super nice tv for about half off if you manage to get there early enough.

Thanks for the TV tips, guys. Keep it coming. The more I know, the better I feel about buying one.

As for next weekend, I think there's a big Nissan event at Crystal Lake beach on Lac Lavon Rd in Lakeville. It's only a couple of miles from my house.

Hmm.... Black Friday might be a good idea. I'm sure online prices will be even better. I just hope my CRT lasts until then. I'm getting the dreaded vertical line problem (which is actually horizontal).

Wow, wtf is up with price gouging for a mount? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I finally spent $200 on a little circuit board for my stove the other week, and it didn't come with a replacement plastic cover to identify the buttons. Seriously, they wanted another $45 for a 6"x3" sheet of see-through plastic with white paint on it.

if you are buying a higher end TV, online 'can' be better, but if you are looking at more general TV's, you won't find better pricing online. Shipping becomes an issue.

Alex, I said if you continue to come back while your ban is active, that is when we issue an ip ban. As I suggested, take your ban and suck it up. Once its over feel free to come back. You should have known that trying to come back under a secondary acct would get you in more trouble.

I'm reporting you, hacker!

Yeah, Aaron. I'm looking into the shipping costs. Some places will wave it if they can get the business.

WTF, this is a forum....mods and people get going on these rules and bylaws that seem rather arbitrary and VULGAR DISPLAYS OF POWER seem to be asserted *****-nilly.......nonetheless, this is a place for exchange of ideas and techs related to a specific cause (the love of our cars).

His account was banned for re-hashing and insults towards a staff member. By the intent of the TOU entry, I could very well give you an infraction for re-hashing as well Stock2Autocrozz.
His secondary acct was permabanned, because as you can probably figure out, we ban people for a reason. Bypassing that ban is an even bigger no no than what usually got you banned in the first place. Because he was decent enough to apologize, his original ban isn't getting extended. Although it could have been increased exponentially, or even permanently. Thats all I'm going to say about that.
People get banned because of their actions. We have a TOU in place. Re-hashing is in it, as well verbage about insults towards staff. Our moderation is fairly lenient at most times. However, it must also be impartial and consistent. On that note, consider this the one follow-up on your remarks about this situation, and move on. Nothing more need be said.

I have to disagree. I don't see any rehashing here. In the strictest sense, all I am reading is the fact that someone got banned. I don't see the reason why, which would be the rehashing which in this case you brought up so you should be banned. LOL

Sorry, I love playing devil's advocate.

Dave (waits for a ban or a warning)
