If anyone have to get tires, RE-11's have a promotion going on now. You now get a 100$ Visa card if you purchase 4 tires. This is a Bridgestone promotion so you can get them anywhere. I might get a set at TireRack

Has anyone set up an inspection yet? I was thinking about setting up an appointment sooner than later to make sure it gets done on time.

I have always gotten my inspections done at Auto Europe. I got a set of tires installed by them last year. It's a long drive for me and that's the part I hate the most. It's free inspections @ Auto Europe if you are a member of GLCC (Lotus Car Club).

I think Howard @ Gilson does free inspections for the SEMPCA events. I have never been to their shop but I did meet and talk to him at one of the events last year. Nice guy.

Most shops do free inspections to only those people who are their customers or else it is a 50$ fee.

 

Can I have the car inspected anywhere or does it have to be one of the listed shops?

 

FYI I just setup my appt with Howard for Saturday the 8th. I think I'm going around 12 but he hasn't confirmed the time yet, just the date. If any of u guys wanna do it around he same time that should be fun

 

I may come out to Mid-O mid august........been there many times, but was always a vendor (no racing ). Looking forward to it!

It HAS to be from one of the listed shops. Otherwise they will not accept the inspection form. At least that is what I know.

I sent them an email. I would prefer to have Motorwerks or Kenny/Mufflers & More do the inspection as both shops have worked on my car.

 

I confirmed that any state licensed repair shop will suffice for the inspection.

 

Good to know that I am wrong. I don't have to drive that far to get it inspected. I'll get mine done with Kenny@Muflers&More. They installed the camber arm on my car last year.

 

Anyone interested in going to Gingerman on June 7th? It will be the first weekend open with the new track layout. We should be at the top of 4th on the back straight now. I am heading out with my dad. It will be his first time at the track. I will already be 3/4 the way there as I will be at grattan with the bike on the 5th and 6th.

 

I'm a little out of my area here but looks like alot of track guys posting with NASA. I'll be at Putnam and both Mid Ohio times this summer. Hope to meet some of you!

 

Gingerman sounds like fun, but it is so far out. :P The really hard part about it is that Monday morning is my weekly conference call for work... I'll think hard about it after my first run at Waterford.
