Default New York City 350Z Owners: Insurance cost?

Hey guys, I'll be picking up a 350Z sometime between May and July, but I was just wondering what's the general range people's insurance rates are. I'm currently paying $130 a month for my 5th gen Maxima here in NYC (over 900 per term). So what kind of premium hike can I expect to see with a Z? Just looking for rough, real-life, estimates here. Geico's customer service wasn't incredibly helpful, unfortunately.

call your local insurance agents. they can give you a way better estimate than anyone on a car forum can give. if Geico sucks at giving terms, call someone else or check this site out:

I'd probably expect slightly higher rates than your Maxima.

Allstate.com has a decent quote system that offers quick quotes where you don't have to enter any personal info or wait to hear from an agent. I've found their quotes to be accurate within 10% in my experience.

Go to geico.com and enter all your information to get an online quote. After having done this I then phoned them up and got a further discount.

Thanks. I probably just got a lacky at work, or something. She wasn't very helpful at all...

thrill you are getting ripped off. My insurance is $1800/yr, almost identical stats as you. Geico -- check them out. They love people with perfect records. I am in CT, but I doubt that there is a $700+ difference.
