R.I.P - one of our members + mechanical help needed
Hi all,
I wanted to let you all know about one of our members who died a few weeks back and solicit some help as he was working on my car when he passed.
Shane Cornbread (a.k.a Romeo Briscoe) died a few weeks back on May 8th when he was struck by lightning while fishing (http://wcbstv.com/topstories/fatal.l...2.1683541.html ). He was an avid 350z enthusiest and pretty tallented engine builder and an all round nice guy.
My request to the forum is for some help, Romeo was in the middle of an NA rebuild of my 350z, with parts all over Connectict. Problem is that he did not leave behind any records as to which machine shop he was working with.
I need a couple things:
1. New long block Vq35DE for a 2003 350z
or
2. Somone that could possibly continue the project. I am missing 1 forged Weisco Piston, a crank shaft and a short block (all are at some machine shop we cannot find)
The car is currently in Milford CT and I need to find someone to put it back together. Romeo's business partners are collecting the parts but do not feel comfortable rebuilding the motor.
If anyone can help me (I know its a pretty incredible story but please feel free to google Romeo Briscoe to get the story) please send me a PM, any help I can get is greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

Have grown partial to mine at this point... would like to rebuild her if I can. Plus I cant just end this story the way it is... that would be just way to morbid.

Bumping this as tomorrow makes 5 months to the day of one of my good friend's untimely passing.
O.P - did you ever get the car finished? I would have loved to take a crack at fixing it as I helped Shane pull it apart. Had the circumstances been better I'm sure we could have finished what Shane started.
