I also hit -3 a few days before that pic was taken...I never would've imagined that it would get lower than that

I didn't take a picture of it but the Audi had -12 on it. My dad called me from Phoenix and said that we (Needham,MA) had the nation's lowest temp according to one of the morning shows (Today, GMA, etc). I think he got some pleasure out of telling me that.

I know Ra-Cha was colder after windchill, but I never saw my gauge fall below 0.

New York was cold as hell this year. I wasnt driving my Z so i couldnt read the gauge. -9 is cold but we had temps of -20 to -30. And the windchill sucked!

Coldest i've seen was last Friday when I hopped in the Z to warm it up before heading off to work, -7 .. And my engine sounded like a diesel engine for like 5 seconds before it got some oil into it.

Also my tires drive like square rocks for about 2 mins after sitting all night at any temp below 15-20 ish. I really really need to get some all season performance tires, I can barley get out of my driveway in a 1/4 of an inch of snow, it pretty scary driving around with them daily in extreeme cold and snowy\icy weather. I am kinda waiting for my stock tires to wear out before I replace them, I am gonna try to get thru this winter.

You're a wilder man than I, Daytona. After all the horror stories I've heard about the stock Potenzas and bad weather, I didn't dare go out in the snow without throwing on some Blizzaks.

Well I probably would of got the tires by now but I only have a 16 mile round trip commute to work, and if the weather gets bad I have the option of taking a bus and a train to work.

I am very careful when driving in the cold and I test the road conditions often by braking hard or accelerating hard where ever it is safe to keep constant tabs on how to drive. I concider myself a pretty salvy driver, but don't we all, driving defensive and being extra cautious is the key to living with crap winter tires. And driving slow is VERY hard for me

God, winter driving on stock tires is really not a good idea. I've said it before, I'll say it again.
