Default subacromial decompression

No, it's not a car part, although it sounds like it could be. ("My car just doesn't have the power it used to." "No $h!t; you've thrown a rod through the side of the block because of that subacromial decompression thingy.")

It's what a surgeon does to your shoulder. Well, ok, not YOUR shoulder, MY shoulder. In about five hours. it's about a 2.5 hour surgery, involving general anesthesia. Don't know how long before I'll feel decent. I know i won't be driving anything with a manual transmission for at least a month.

Wish me luck.

i think that's the same thing a buddy of mine had done to his shoulder. small incision in the back and smaller one in the front. took him more than a month to drive a manual though, and his range of motion was minimal for a very long time. alot longer recovery than when i had the plate put on my left radius (bone in forearm). i was out mowin the lawn one-handed with it in a sling 3 days later. (i get very restless) good luck though! enjoy the gas!

Are they gonna prescribe you any anabolics? You watch out for those pills. Good luck with the surgery

I have plates on my left radius & ulna too, took forever to be able to spin the steering wheel with an open hand afterwards. The bones never knitted back together though

I hope they used a high quality clear coat on your stainless so you don't rust inside! You are too young to have so many metal pieces

OMG yeah i hate stainless, magnets don't stick to it but its a clean look if all your kitchen appliances are covered with it

I say go bionic in 20 years , they should have some cool stuff by then that actually works without a windows OS I'd hate to be running at 50mph and you get a blue screen , trip fall and road rash your face...
