Default This is a dumb question... or is it?

So I bought my Hawk HPS pads for my front and rear pads...

I read something, that I simply must find out ASAP... do I need 8 total pads for my rear rotors!? Or am I going to be fine with the one box I bought?

I have 8 pads total for front and rear... I didn't screw up did I?

Now that he has the count sorted out, lets see if he can figure out which pad goes on the inside and which goes on the outside.

You don't have a drive way, a socket and a ratchet? And I hate to say it, but since you gave a shoutout to the company you bought them pads from, don't you think they would have sold you a proper set?

They did sell me a proper set, I was just reading some crap on the internet and I saw that someone posted on another Z forum about needing 8 pads for the rear... which is why I asked here.

Back to the ordeal of not having the proper tools; In order to change your rotors you must bleed your brakes, its just one of those things... So since I don't have a bleeder, and I don't feel like getting one (more clutter for the wife to ***** at me for), I have to pay someone.

Anybody on the forums available to do it, I'll pay 100 bucks and beer!

You dont bleed anything. You take off the wheels. You take off the caliper.. replace pads, push piston in (costs like 5 bucks for the tool at any auto parts store)..put caliper back on..torque to spec..

DONE..

If you were local I would take a bill from you and some beer.. I dont charge that much for a brake job though..

Its a 2.5 hour drive, but if it saves me enough money, I'll definitely think about it... a lot... Because it does... Anyway, PM me your number and I'll give you a call when I figure out when my rotors get here.

I'm on unemployment and sit around all day playing Forza 3, I'll do it for $75 and you make sure my coffee cup stays full.

Same thing as Slim tho....Puyallup!

Besides....it'll give me another excuse to not clean the gutters or rake leaves.

LOL! I'm down for whatever you guys want, but me and Wasuber talked... well sorta talked, typed more like, and it'll probably happen next weekend- just because of scheduling stuff. Anyway, so long as it costs less than going to a brake shop (who just says crap like "Oh well, I've gotta take a look at your calipers before I do something like that. It'll probably run you at least 200 bucks." What do you charge an hour?!)

Anyway, sorry that was me rambling about how much people are trying to charge me for something like this... basically, I said to one guy in town "Let me rent the lift, and I can do all the crap I need to do, in like 2 hours... how much would that cost?"

Reply: "We dont do that because you're not a certified tech..."

Me: "... Did I ask about that?"

Them: "Well no, but you're not certified..."

Me: "Thanks you've been a useless help! Take care!!"

I hate people sometimes!
