Default VTR 3rd annual food drive!

VTR's Annual Holiday food drive starts Oct 1st!

I would challenge all of you here on the 350Z forum to join us this year in the competition to see which forum will donate the most food.

Here are the rules: Each forum will be given a designated area for there donations. On November 18th the Friday before Thanksgiving we will transport all of the donations to the Everett VOA for the weigh in. The forum with the most donations gets on the perpetual plaque in our showroom. Last year we had just under 1400lbs combined for all forums. Lx forums won last year, again. You guys/gals need to step it up!

Recommended items:

Canned foods
Dry food
anything non-perishalble
Here are some other items recommended on the VOA website.

Baby essentials, including diapers, baby wipes and formula
School supplies and backpacks, leading into school
Summer camp equipment and supplies
Holiday toy and gift drive
Shoes and boots - anytime!
Household and laundry cleaners, toiletries and feminine personal hygiene products

In the last two years this food drive has donated almost 6000lbs of food to the food bank. Time to dig deep and help those less fortunate than us.

There is a forum (LX) that has already scheduled an opening event to get started. I suggest someone here do the same.

Thanks
Wayne

We have a perpetual plaque in the shop that we engrave the name of the forum and how many lbs their donation was.

Throwing down the gauntlet. Is this forum into helping the community? Are you willing to prove it and put your money where your mouth is? Do you know someone who has been down and out and had to use the food bank? It always feels good to give. This year we are trying to get local media to follow us to the food bank for the drop off. Are you going to be there?

there's plenty of people on the forum, they never participate though.

I confess: my donations always gone to the subie bin. even before I was interested in having one myself, when I drove my Z, it went to the subie bin. I didn't want to see an empty my350z container : (

Here is our first update on the food drive. The LX forums have struck first blood by bringing in the first donation after their m & g at XXX. I would highly recommend the rest of the forums getting in gear and dropping off some donations!

Here are the standings;

LX forums 216lbs
Subie fourms 0
SRT forums 0
Scion forums 0
350z forums 0
VW/Audi forums 0
Camaro forums 0

Lots of people are counting on us, lets make this the biggest year of donations ever!

So here is my last post about this. Many families are hurting right now. You might know some of them. If I could get just a few of you to bring in (1) can of pumpkin pie, (1) can of cranberries,(1) can of corn, (1) can of ________. It would help 1 family celebrate Thanksgiving a little better.
