Drives to take the Z on!
I used to visit this site when I wanted to jump on my motorcycle and go for a ride on the weekend. The website is still a good place to look for a place to drive my Z too!
Check it out at:
www.pashnit.com
Scroll down to see a comprehensive list of California roads by area and county. When you click on a road it will give you a detailed description of the road with pictures and road riding conditions.
I know that you will love this site!
2004 350Z Roadster (just trying to slow down a bit)
Street:
Ducati 998, MonoPosto
Kawasaki ZX7
Kawasaki 600R
Dirt:
Honda CR500R
Polaris 500 Sportsman
Polaris 90 Sportsman
Check it out at:

This is a great resource, thanks man! Seeing the pics of all those open roads is making me think of quitting my job for the summer to just tour the state. If only gas weren't so damn expensive.

I am surprised that more people haven't responded? This website is great, especially with all the detail and pictures. It just makes you want to drive!
I have noticed that there are some people out there that try to get out and drive (like Bodega Bay this weekend) or auto cross. Maybe the other half or so just like to hang out in parking lots and look at each others cars? I guess that works too? I actually went to "Freakmont" (a nissan gathering) in Fremont a couple of weeks ago. For once I didn't have anything to do, so I thought I would go out there and see what these things are all about. It wasn't too bad, but the blue Z Roadster that had the painted everything and TV monitors in the headrest had to go (in my humble opinion).
FYI...Altamont Speedway off of 580 in the Tracy area does drifting on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month until October. I haven't gone, but I would like to check it out. By the way, they don't let 350Z Roadsters on the track.

Yeah, this isn't a new site to most enthusiasts ... probabally why there aren't so many responses. I have been using Pashnit's maps and rides for about 4 years ... and they explore some of the most awesome driving/riding roads out there!
One of my good friends, Tyler Winegarner, has mapped out and taken pics of several of the new bay area roads on that site.
Not all of us like to just stand around oogling our cars ... but sometimes its a fun passtime during rest stops, or breaks in the mountain runs!
