Default dyno day?

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in having a dyno day. If we do have some response, I can look into it. Also if anyone have good recommendation for a place, let me know as well...

I like pics!

There's a new dynojet 248 at Marco Automotive, 9401 Greenback in Orangevale. 988-8105. I haven't been there for dyno, but my understanding is their pricing is very good, and the guys up there are quite good folks in general.

Might be a good spot.

Edit: I don't know why, but I thought you guys were talking about Sacramento. Wrongo

I've been to Advanced Tuning Products (510) 445-1682, 44777-G South Grimmer Blvd, Fremont and they're pretty good too. They actually have a Dynojet with two drums, and can dyno an AWD car if necessary. Pretty cool. And closer to San Jose...

I can start calling around then, let me know if you guys know any other places...
as far as I'm concern regarding dyno, I just want to get a baseline before I start doing any other mods...
Well, hopefully we can get more responses...

I'll be down to go once I finish breaking in my car. I'm at 450 mi right now, so it should be another month before I hit 1200 mi.

This would be a good idea, I'm interested in joining a group to do this.

I would like to do a run with my stock air box and then put my JWT back on and see what the difference is. Let's talk more!

If you guys are serious. We were going to do a dyno day with Scotts Performance, we were going to make it a Z dyno day. It would be done on a weekand.

I think its like 75 dollars for car.

So Raub will be there I'm sure. I can only hope Greg would be there, but you never know when he will be in from Hawaii.

In any case, if it's with the guys from SP then I'm definately in. I think I'll call Raub tomorrow.

Been pretty busy at work lately so didn't get a chance to make any calls yet. I just saw this post

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=17179
pretty interesting.
Yuichi do you have the contact info with Scotts performance? or do you have good contact with them that you can get something like this setup?

Talking Sure

Dave,

Not a problem I called them up yesterday. Right next to Scott Performance is a Dyno shop called APEX Motorsports. They mainly work with stangs and vipers but we could rent the Dyno for a day. Like I said at minimum we would need 5 cars. I think it is around 75 a car.

I talked to Rob at SP and he said Feburary would probably be good so we can get enough people to go and the word out?

Yuichi, that sounds good.
I'm definantly in. I think my bro is interested in dynoing his car as well, but he has a bimmer. I would say give first preference to Z then opening it up for anyone else? Add yourselve to the count if you in for dyno day in Feb. We need at least 5. Sounds like the SP guys have a good reputation also.

Dyno day sign up.

to throw something else into the mix,

Dyno Spot Racing in Mountain View
Advanced Tuning Products in Fremont

haven't called them yet, but they did host a few dyno days for Bay Bimmerz guys a while ago. I still vote for the Scott Performance/Apex motorsport unless someone has strong feelings otherwize.

I'm in for Scott Performance, 2555 Lafayette St., Santa Clara

I highly recommend these guys. I have known this shop for 20+ years and there reputation is impeccable. They have some pretty sharp 240Z restorations going on right now. BTW SP is a Z specialist shop for those of you who don't know them.

Dyno day sign up.

Hey Yuichi,
Can you set this up? Looks like we already got 5. Let us know what day? Preferable Sat or Sun
I'm sure we can accomodate more than 5 cars, if you are in, please add yourself to the list.

Talking Alright

I'm not sure if I'm going to be Dynoing yet. I want to get some mods into my car to see how much I've gained heh.

But I think I will aim at end of Feb. I'll talk to Scotts on Monday

I'm in tentatively depending on the date.

If you can get a firm date, I can give a firm response.

Currently no mods, 8500 miles.

Dyno day sign up.
